Very good episode - they seem to be alternating SGA good one week SG-1 the other
Interesting bringing the Replicators into SGA although slightly different from the Stargate version. They are still aggressive but didn't appear to have battled anyone?
Great pacing with the story, even though it was obvious the escape was too easy it was still great to watch.
:fear: @ the ending - is he good or bad ?

I have to say I was enjoying this episode until the Replicators apeared - personally they long overstayed their welcome on SG-1, and it feels a very cheap move to bring them back to Atlantis. Plus the fact the ending felt just like SG-1's 'Unnatural Selection' (with SG-1 finding a sympathetic replicator who helps them escape, only for them to screw him over and abandon him at the end).
Still, there were some very good bits; especially Atlantis taking off halfway through, plus the fake 'escape to Atlantis only to have to abandon it and run back to Earth' scene :)

Lots of good and bad here. Nice to see a new villain. We could do with another one on SG1 too (so they can stop doing all those tedious Baal plots). Good performance from David Ogden Stiers too. Not seen him in anything since MASH.
The replicatoryness of the Asurans was a bit of a rehash of SG1, and it would have been nicer if they were more original. I liked the idea of the Ancients mistake, although it seems a bit childish to wipe them out from the database. I also liked the fact that they were artificially agressive, and knew it, but most of them didn't care.
The SFX of the city flying was great. I'd love to see city-to-city combat. Shame that they just can't seem to find any ZPMs anymore.
Overall, it was pretty good, although I'd have preferred it to be a two parter. The escape and destruction of the ship was extremely rushed. I think we'll be seeing a lot more of these guys though, so it'll be interesting to see what they do with them.

I think it would have been better as a two parter - maybe we will get a second part this season?
As you say the flying city was absolutely stunning, wonderful idea - what would it have hurt for them to have sneaked at least one ZPM away

It is getting a bit annoying how every ZPM they find can't be used for one reason or another. Why did it take all three ZPM's to blow up the city, when it has already been established that a single ZPM can destroy a whole solar system (from the one when Camulus gave them a spiked one)? Come to think of it, the explosion should have been big enough to destroy the flying city AND atlantis.

I had forgotten he was in MASH :ph43r:
I mainly know him from Dead Zone
I must admit I was a little disappointed when it turned out they were replicators :( Though I loved John's 'dream' where he sacrificed himself to save the others and Earth  I knew it wasn't real (a little to easy to escape ;) ) but the look on his face as he closes his eyes and waits for the self destruct to go off :tear:
All in all a good episode, even if it does mean that yet another lot of bad guys knows that Atlantis is still around
