| BBC acquires 'Kath and Kim' movie Thursday, August 3 2006, 01:57 BST - by Neil Wilkes The BBC has picked up the rights to air the feature-length version of Kath & Kim in the UK. Da Kath & Kim Code was the highest-rated movie on Aussie TV last year, with a peak of almost 2.5 million viewers tuning in. "We are extounded at the response to our telly movie," said Kath, currently in the UK to promote the second series. "We had people over for drinks and nibbles and then watched it on the plasma in the good room and we thoroughly enjoyed it... but then again we might be a bit biased." The second series begins on BBC Two next Monday (August 7). |
