Just finished watching this one. :o :o :o
Simply amazing. To be honest, I didn't think they'd be able to keep up the tension they set with the season finale last year, but oh Lords was I wrong.
I loved the interactions between Vala and Adriaa, hilarious and sublime. I know that most kids think they know more than their parents, but in this case, it seems to be true.
The teams survival, neatly told in flashbacks was also stunning, especially Daniel's. Great fun, jumping out of the firing line and into the gun barrel
Can't wait to see what happens next episode.
This will (almost;) ) make up for Doctor Who not being on at the moment

I really enjoyed this one too. Both SG and Atlantis have started strongly this year.
BB and CB really seem to fit now. Last season I got used to BB, but CB always seemed like Aeryn was going undercover at the SGC. I'm more comfortable with Vala now.
I was really surprised that it was the korolev that got destroyed. I was sure it would be the odyssey, seeing as the Korolev had SG members on board. The way that Daniel and Cameron escaped fitted nicely though. Did Colonel Checkov explode then? I know he;s only a secondary character, but it would be nice if they mentioned it.
Loved the way they got Carter back.
The continuity guys must hate Christopher Judge. Halfway through every two parter, he gets a haircut.

More often than not with the SG1 premieres they're a bit of a letdown compared with what's gone before them. I thought this one however was pretty good. In fact the 45 minutes practically flew by.
Not sure I like the Lucian Alliance much but the Ori situation seems to have taken a decided turn for the worse. I found Adria to be incredibly creepy! Looks like the Ori are well entrenched now, don't see them being beaten anytime soon, looks like they're here to stay!

I don't think they're entrenched James. I get the impression that they've just gotten a foothold, and they're about to keep on marching towards (almost) certain victory.
One thing I'm wondering about though...
What happened to Carter's idea of removing the control crystals from the supergate to prevent them coming through? Wouldn't that plan still be useful in making sure no more of them came along?
The idea just seemed to be forgotten about in all of the fighting. Or, how about....
The computer program that went awry. The one devised to control all of the Stargates. Couldn't that be used to cripple the Ori? :ponder:

Just seen this ep and thought it was fantastic, i know what you mean about season finales being much better than their following premiere, but this was just as good as the finale, better than i was expecting.
Glad Vala's a main character now, i like the added humour with her in the show.
I think it was really lucky that the people who got off the Koralev just happened to include Mitchell and Daniel, but they did have interesting escapes. Rescuing Carter was entertaining with her basically telling Mitchell to stop, it wasn't safe, and who could blame her with a huge ship heading towards her that could hit her very far away.
Vala and Adria were great, i wonder if one will eventually persuade the other to change sides.
Shame it's the last season, but it's started off really well, lets hope they can keep it up, so that SG-1 can go out on a high.
Ems :)
