I would consider it, but I've already got the first two and I'm sure there's plenty more I could spend the £45 on :)

That all sounds brillent but I have got all 4 on dvd anyway having given my video copy of the first one away - will stick with what I have got I think
goth willow fan - July 5, 2004 08:10 PM (GMT)
Yeah but is The Matrix the UK or the US version.
The UK 15 cert version had some of the more gratuitous gun play and all of the headbutts removed.
So it's probably worth considering getting the R1 version of this set (which presumably there is)

I've got the first and the third on DVD and a downloaded version of the second. If I'd have been more impressed with the sequels, maybe.......
I'll wait to see what David wants for Xmas I think, if he wants it, I'll get it for him ;)

Would that qualify as buying something for him that you want yourself.
Oh I remember those days!!!

The first is an all time classic.
The other two are average martial arts movies with a sci-fi twist.

Agreed the first one is an almighty classic - I guess it was obvious the other two would not maintain the quality although I thought number 2 came close.
Was very disapointed with number 3 - in many ways I wished they had just added an hour to the second one.

I thought Reloaded wasn't as bad as a lot of people thought.
Revolutions however :x

I think the problem with Reloaded, was that it was so obviously a middle film, it carried the plot along, but I felt so unsatisfied at the end.
goth willow fan - July 5, 2004 08:29 PM (GMT)
Agreed, but it still made some sort of narrative sense, unlike Revolutions which was on huge confusing mishmash

Me and M ----- we have apsolutely no tastes in common!!!
Persephone - July 5, 2004 08:38 PM (GMT)
Sometimes that works.
Dave and I don't really have that much in common either when it comes to films, Tv or music. There's a bit of common ground, but not that much. ;)
ken1701e - July 5, 2004 10:29 PM (GMT)
Me and my ex wife used to like pratically all the same movies and a lot of the same tv (apart from soaps) but me and M like almost nothing the same and thats before you get started on music etc.
