Title: Excel Question
willowroolz - July 2, 2006 02:14 PM (GMT)
I've got some data on an Excel spreadsheet that I would like to encrypt somehow (it's a list of names that my boss doesn't want anyone else to see). I'll probably go down the easy route of coding them manually but I wondered, for future reference, if there was a quick way to do it within Excel?
Cheers :)

Someone in Accountancy (or related) who isn't an Excel expert? :innocent: - if I ever need to do anything in it I always head off to Accounts.
Google search result

Can't think of any particular way you can do it in Excel itself, but I'm fairly sure you can do it through Visual Basic.
Whenever I'm struggling with Excel problems just google search and then switch to 'groups' on the results.

You could probably save the file and use winrar to protect it? :ermm:
/hate spreadsheets.

Up until about a year ago I didn't even know pivot tables existed
Thanks for the suggestions, guys. That link looks good, Neil, cheers
