Title: Star Trek - Captain's Blood

Finally after 6 months starting to read this latest novel (hardback) by William Shatner. About half way through it and yes it is a good read but no where near as good as THE RETURN is.

Set after the events told in NEMESIS (albeit in a universe where Kirk still exists) it is the story of Kirk and Picard travelling to Romulus when they believe Spock has been assasinated. The author's obsession with trying to be as upto date with the trek universe as he can be is fascinating (if you pardon the pun), he even manages to get a mention in of Captain Archer and the voyage into the expanse.

Will let you know what I think of it completely when I finish it but even now I would say if you like the others the chances are you will probably like this one too!!!

I've just started 'Captain's Peril' Bit of a slow start but hopefully will speed up. Actually I've just finished chapter 10 and not an awful lot has happened <_<

Presumably 'Captain's Blood' is the next one

Correct - was released as a hard back last christmas when I bought it.

Captain's Peril I found to be good but again not as good as what had gone before! (pardon the pun!!)

Well I have finished the book at last and though it is no way near as good as THE RETURN it is a worthwhile read and has built up for what should be a glorious final book out later this year. It is better than Captain's Peril in my opinion however.

I would recommend anyone who likes TREK novels or SHATNER's in particular to buy this one!!!

Just finished Captains Periland I was sadly underwhelmed by it. :(

Telling two stories at once is just confusing, and nothing much happens for too much of the time. Have to try and get Captains Blood and see if it's any better.
