Title: Veronica Mars S2
Fangy and grrr - May 12, 2006 02:38 PM (GMT)
Veronica Mars season 2 will be shown on Living TV on thursdays @ 8pm starting from June 8. :)
I ended up quite enjoying having a daily fix when they showed it everyday but I think I'll be happy with it once a week.
Bill The Bloodless - May 12, 2006 02:43 PM (GMT)
Excellent, I was just thinking s2 must be starting soon. :)
I think I prefer once a week as well, there's more of a chance of missing one when they put it on every day.
laughitupfuzzball - May 12, 2006 04:11 PM (GMT)
Great news, I raced through more than one a day with season 1 as I only watched bits and pieces when it was shown. I think it's much better to show it once a week :ph43r: although I'm already half way through season 2

Are you enjoying it as much as S1 ? :)
melian - May 12, 2006 05:47 PM (GMT)
I think it's almost as good as season 1, but there are specific reasons for that that I can't elaborate on in fear of spoiling you guys ;)
Lets just say the season 2 finale is just as fantastic as Season 1

I had read an article about Kristen Bell and she kept saying she's devoted three seasons to VM. This article was a couple weeks ago and the actual interview was I-don't-know how long ago. So, she seemed pretty sure about renewal. Or a very positive thinker.
It's funny. Whereas many less promising actresses chomped at the bit to be freed from their tv series in order to try the movies, Kristen Bell -- who I think might have the qualities for a big screen career -- wants to continue. Maybe, she's not getting many good offers yet. It's just a matter of time.
Fangy and grrr - June 8, 2006 04:03 PM (GMT)
Don't forget S2 starts tonight @ 8:00pm on Living TV. :)
Bill The Bloodless - June 8, 2006 04:06 PM (GMT)
Yep, looking forward to it. :)
Fangy and grrr - June 9, 2006 08:23 PM (GMT)
Decent opening episode :) having to explain what had happened in the few months gap from the end of S1 to the beginning of S2 meant it didn't really flow like a normal episode but Veronica was still Veronica so now they've set the scene hopefully it'll get better although I will say that all the stuff that happened in that gap looked pretty bloody interesting to me seemed a shame to waste it like that. :ponder:
Sorry that Veronica and Logan spilt up :( and I did feel sorry for Logan ... although less so by the end of the episode ;) I knew CC was going to be in VM this season but I didn't realise she'd be there right form the start and I certainly didn't realise she'd be so ... erm whats the right word .. prominent. :whistling:
Bill The Bloodless - June 10, 2006 11:52 AM (GMT)
 She was out there a bit wasn't she.
As I've already said it seems they've just reset almost everything back to the start of s1. Not saying that's a bad thing mind, I don't like change. :)
And I wouldn't worry too much about what went on, I'm sure we'll be having a liberal sprinkling of flashbacks.
Fangy and grrr - June 28, 2006 08:03 PM (GMT)
Just caught up with the last two episodes ( fell a bit behind what with all the football ) and I thought they were great.
Veronica's as funny as ever and I've even managed to get over the shock of Steve Guttenberg joining the cast. :o :)

But why doesn`t he seem to have aged at all ? :fear:
laughitupfuzzball - June 29, 2006 04:05 PM (GMT)
It's an excellent season
Steve Guttenberg made a pact with the devil a long time ago ;)
CC is also fabulous
melian - June 29, 2006 07:09 PM (GMT)
It's really been a great second season, I don't quite know how I would have coped having to watch it week by week. Due to dl capabilities I've lost all sense of patience :ph43r:
Fangy and grrr - June 29, 2006 07:57 PM (GMT)
The answer to the Steve Guttenberg mystery is simple if you watch The Simpsons, anyone seen the episode where Homer tries to join The Stonecutters ?
The Stonecutters' Song
Who controls the British crown?
Who keeps the metric system down?
We do! We do!
Who leaves Atlantis off the maps?
Who keeps the martians under wraps?
We do! We do!
Who holds back the electric car?
Who makes Steve Guttenberg a star?
We do! We do!
Who robs the cave fish of their sight?
Who rigs every Oscars night?
We do! We do!
Explains everything as far as I'm concerned. ;)

She definitely could do with being brought down a peg or two or three. Though it was quite funny what she did to Veronica.
Also might there be an anti-Veronica 'alliance' brewing between her and Logan? :ponder:
Fangy and grrr - August 6, 2006 07:25 PM (GMT)
Oooh lovely Meg is awake ... and pregnant ! :o I suspose it would be too straightforward for Duncan to be the father wouldn't it ? :ponder: not convoluted enough for VM surely. :)
Loved the the bitching between AH & CC :)
Oh and when's Wallace coming back ? :(
Bill The Bloodless - August 7, 2006 02:32 PM (GMT)
How long is it supposed to be since the crash because she looked about ready to drop. And I hope she knew or it will be one hell of a surprise. I think it could be Duncan's, it would cause a few ripples in Veronica's life.

I haven't really missed him but I'm sure it won't be too long.
Fangy and grrr - August 7, 2006 11:35 PM (GMT)
No idea about the gap but your right she did look pretty far gone so it must quite a while ago otherwise she would of been showing at school surely. I wonder if the letter Duncan found is related to her condition. :ponder:
Oh I like Wallace and I like Veronica having someone to rely on who isn't Duncan or Logan. That said I do like the computer expert girl.

Well Meg wasn't awake for long. :( And Duncan's the father. So how's Veronica gonna keep her promise to Meg? :ponder:
Oh yeah and wallace is back, I guessed it wouldn't be long. :)
Fangy and grrr - August 15, 2006 12:00 AM (GMT)
Poor lovely Meg :tear: that was rather an abrupt death wasn't it ? :( and so its wasn't that complicated afterall Duncan is the father.
Nice to see Wallace back. :)

Is there any talk of releasing a (region 2) DVD Box set anytime soon? Or should I just get the US version??Thanks" Neil: This is a question I've been asked a lot over the last few months - and after quite a bit of digging, I finally have an answer for you. A region 2 version of season one is apparently in the works and will be released "early next year". Although apparently the R1 versions w**k on R2 players, so you may have luck there if you can't wait |
Odd that it`s taken so long to get a release over here - and that the show hasn`t been picked up by C4 or Five. :ponder:

Ryan: "How did Veronica do in a decent timeslot?"
Neil: Not spectacularly. The premiere pulled in 100,000 a fortnight ago, but the ratings fell to 59,000 (plus 14,000 via timeshift) by the second episode.
Scott L: "You wrote a few weeks back that Veronica Mars wasnt performing well in its time slot this doesnt mean that Living TV will pull it does it? Also what are the chances that Living TV will pick up Season 3 of VM and show it?"
Neil: I don't think Living will pull it, although I suspect they will think twice before going for the third season (or at least, paying as much for it). The problem the second season faces is that it is much more difficult to "get into" (from the perspective of a new viewer) if you haven't been watching from the off. |
