Perhaps someone could edit my post to include a synopsis like all the other episodes listed.
Just as I was fearing this second half of the second season was going off the rails and losing focus, lo and behold this episode surfaces. What can I say but this episode is absolutely fantastic! After finally finishing the episode I spent the whole time thinking to myself "WOW" over and over in my mind. :yahoo:
I really loved the premise of this episode showing you the original number six (who seduced Baltar and made the whole Cylon attack a reality, now known as Caprica 6) and Sharon (the one who shot Adama) as they are being downloaded into new bodies and the after effects of being reborn with the memories of their previous lives.
I really loved how Caprica 6 now sees an imaginary Baltar which adds a fresh twist to their opposite numbers which I have become a little bored of lately. Is it James Callis who plays Baltar? I'm sorry I can't remember. Anyway he was absolutely fantastic playing the imaginary Baltar, much like he was with his character in the beginning but in my humble opinion has since dwindled away as his character has changed.
I also really loved how the original Sharon is exactly as her character was before being shot and dying.
I loved how Sharon and Caprica 6 are now going to try and use their "celebrity" as war heroes to try and change as many Cylon minds as possible.
I'm sure there's so much I'm forgetting to mention but this episode was absolutely amazing and one of my favourite BSG episodes so far.
A few more thoughts on the episode...
I felt sorry for poor Helo & Sharon :( as they switched their baby with one that had recently died, I assume from the woman who adopted the new born? I wonder if she can be trusted now? I'm not so sure as I was a few episodes ago. No doubt all hell will break loose when she and/or the Cylon's find out the baby is still alive. oooh I was kind of right in my prediction as Baltar was going to try and steal the baby. B) :)
Also To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if the baby grows at an astonishing rate
We saw a number of good episodes but none as memorable as this one. The 'birth' of the new cylons was convincingly traumatic and their humanity was startling. The direction this episode took was completely surprising and I really enjoyed it.

Yes, I liked that about it :)
Haven't watched last week's episode yet so I don't know if they followed it up, but I'll be interested to see if they do. The fact that they can't just kill them to cover up their memories etc intrigues me, although I tend to think that the Cylons will just "box" the two of them up anyway
I think I'll have to see it again to really make my mind up about the episode as a whole. It's possibly one of those episodes that'll gain more weight on repeat viewing, for me at least.
If you're setting your video for tonight's finale don't forget it's an extended episode ;)
