Title: 1.12 Rhapsody In Blue
willowroolz - July 1, 2004 09:54 PM (GMT)
A Delvian sect fools the crew of Moya into travelling to their world to meet with their leader, Tahleen. They believe Zhaan has powers that may help cure Tahleen of the madness that is consuming her. Tahleen, however, has other ideas...

What can I say about this episode? It's pretty dire really and is also pretty pointless except to add a little back story to Zhaan and to build on the friendship between Zhaan and John.
Roll on the next few episodes!

Okay, I see the australian comment can apply here too
It was okay, hate John's girlfriend, so wrong for him ;)
I've just finished watching it, so I'll post more later.

Oh no! Everyone's getting ahead of me!!!

Okay, now I've watched it again I'm trying desperately to think of something positive to say about it!
It was good to find out what Zhaan's crime was, finally. It's also good that it brings the mini-arc about Zhaan's loss of control to a head. And the episode looks fantastic, excellent use of colour and sets and locations. And apart from that...
It's far too wordy, and worthy, for its own good. The Delvian Unity is way too similar to the Vulcan mind meld for comfort. The way the crew's fears are used against them has been done so many times before on other shows it is just tired.
It doesn't help that Zhaan is my least favourite of all the characters on the show, past and present.
I know the popular choice for dud of the season goes to Jeremiah Crichton, but this one takes it for me. It's boring.
Incidentally, Lisa, I don't know if the extras are the same on your dvds as mine, but if you look for the D'Argo video profile you'll be able to hear Anthony Simcoe talk in his native Australian accent as well!
Crichton's girlfriend was quite nice...

Funny you should say that, I watched D'Argo's profile earlier today. He looks like a surf dude, not what I was expecting at all. Very Australian, I'm not totally surprised by that though
Virginia Hey, what has she been in before, she's so familiar, but I can't quite remember where I've seen her before?

She was in Mad Max 2, if that helps :)

Not really, maybe I'm mixing her up with someone else. It's a bit hard under all the blue, to make her out at all
I'll have to watch the personal profile of Zhaan, see if there's a shot of her without the makeup.

It is actually hard to find something positive to say about this ep. I liked the colours ;)
John and Zhaan , okay I suppose something was needed to make them bond a bit more, he's already kind of bonded D'Argo, and I'm pretty sure something's brewing between him and Aeryn.
Why does everything about Zhaan come back to her sexuality. Even her crime has something to do with mind sex. ;)

Practically everything in Farscape comes back to sex sooner or later

Wow, she's gorgeous ;)
And a lot younger looking than I'd have expected. I know I've seen her in something. I had it at the back of my mind that she had long blonde hair :)

 One of the Delvians is in Home and Away. Wayne Pygram and Anthony Simcoe have both been in it too and Aeryn's grand-daughter in the locket.
I watched Wayne Pygram as it was advertised he was going to be in it, he played a psycho mmm typecasting
Has there been a discussion of Claudia Blacks performance in Pitch Black. Shame she wasn't in it longer. :D
