Title: 5.10/5.11

Putting these two together as they were aired as one long show.
Well... after waiting 4 or so months for it to finally return I was hoping for a lot. And parts of it were very good... other parts much less so <_< It didn't really help that the last ep was so long ago that I'd completely forgotten everything that was going on!
Anyway, really liked the mission inside the CIA- very sneaky, and with some great comedy bits - Marshall was fantastic. Also brilliant to see Weiss  he's been very missed. What's going on with Tom then? I hope he's not evil.. that would suck.. also it seems a bit silly to bring in something new like this 6 episodes before the series ends.
Yay to Irina, she's always great, but how could Sydney & Jack fall for her again?! Can't believe they trusted her, seriously, what has she ever done to convince them she's not totally in it for herself? Hmm. The scene in the bank with Syd, Jack & Irina was great though - classic spyfamily moment! The labour scene was kind of cute- though it was the least realistic birth I've ever seen! The baby was born already wrapped in a blanket!! Very cute Sydney/Jack/baby moment on the plane back to APO.
Thought Amy Acker was really good in this ep - and yay to her being added to the credits. The fight with her and Jack was great, although it was very out of character for Jack to not shoot her a few times to make sure she was dead. But at the same time yay to her not being killed off! The bit where she shot down the helicopter with the rocket launcher was awesome.
And now to the bit that, for me, ruined the rest of the two episodes - Vaughn being alive. I've avoided spoilers and had no idea they were bringing him back. How bloody stupid, it literally makes me angry! I was so happy when they killed him off, but silly me for forgetting that no-ones ever actually dies on Alias  There's no way he could have survived 50trillion bullets in his chest!! <_< Anyway, I'll wait and see how this pans out.. maybe there's some decent explanation for it. Maybe he's an evil double. Or a zombie... :ponder:

Ditto with the WTF moment at the end! :ermm: I really thought they had killed someone off this time. I might have known. So, I'm just left wondering how they're going to explain this one, seeing as we saw him flatline at the hospital. Maybe they'll bring back one of the death avoiding scenarios from a previous series.
One option is that he was wearing a blood bag and a bullet proof vest when he got shot, and then took the drug that Sloane took that one time, to make him appear dead, until he was injected with another drug to revive him. Or they've gone back to the lookie-likey thing (as with Syd's female mate - Fran?!? - memory block), or even more stupidly, the face mask thing as done with Syd and Vaugn's evil wife, so that it was an imposter who died, not actually Vaughn. Who knows.
Anyway, as to the rest of the ep, I was pleased to see Irina again, as I wasn't sure if she'd have a big part to play this early on other than appearing behind the glass. And yes, I couldn't believe Syd and Jack trusted her so quickly too. As for the birth scene, I was also like "how did they happen to have a baby blanket handy?". It wasn't even as if it was a random bit of sheeting that could have been lying around, it was a proper fluffy blanket.

So, just me who went yay for the return of Vaughn.
I think the fluffy blanket was the beige cardigan that Sydney was wearing - when she came into the bank, I thought it stood out because it didn`t match her red dress at all and looked really odd - I suppose that was the writers thinking ahead. ;)
Another good ep after a string of so-so ones.

No, I went yay too  Although I knew he was coming back so not a great surprise  It was still a nice end moment though with the whole "you have a daughter" bit
I also thought Amy Acker shooting down the helicopter was fantastic  :lmao:
Good episode, I thought, hope the rest are of the same calibre :ermm:

I was a little disappointed that they didn`t pan down to the baby wearing a big prosthetic nose. :ph43r:
