Description: anyone ever heard of kevin smith?

Calculon - January 22, 2006 09:56 PM (GMT)
i have been wondering why theres no Kevin Smith thead on here?

he is a legend (in my opinion) and although he's only made a handful of movies, they (and he) do have a 'cult' following, maybe the small number of movies is why he and his movies have a cult following...

anyway, i've just watched the 'An Evening With Kevin Smith' dvd, and it is really good, very funny, and very enlightening, anyone wondering why i, and many others think this way should watch his movies... but make sure you do them in order... otherwise they won't make much sense...

clerks
mallrats
chasing amy
dogma
jay and silent bob strike back

featuring some huge hollywood names eg: ben affleck, matt damon, alan rickman, chris rock, salma hayek, carrie fisher & mark hamill(yes leia AND luke, will ferrell, shannon elizabeth, eliza dushku, sean william scott, jason biggs(yes the pie-f**ker, and even the legend that is WES CRAVEN...

HOW CAN YOU GO WRONG?

I think you'll find there are several KS devotees around here.

I'm one of them :)

Why no mention of Jersey Girl? <_<

I think theres actually a regular poster's majority of KS fans Calc.

He did "An Evening" in London about 18 months ago which I went to.

Another Smith fan right here

I also love his comic book w**k.

He reinvented Daredevil, from a pansy blind lawyer guy to a kick ass hero.

He also managed to Bring DC's Green Arrow back from the dead in a way that didn't leave the world at large going "HUH?"

He's also playing with Spider-man's head right now, reuiniting him with his superpowered ex Black Cat, in the series "The Evil that Men do."

An awesome writer/Director/actor (silent Bob is so wise.)

Pretty in Pink is one of my favourite movies too :tear:

Another fan here! :hibye:

I still haven't actually seen Jersey Girl though.

I'm indebted to Chasing Amy- it's because of the random reference to Rosencrantz and Guildenstern (sp?) that I watched that film, and I loved that too!

What about Drawing Flies?

Mallrats is my favourite!

Is Jason Lee not in Clerks 2? There is no mention of it on his profile on IMDB.
