Calculon - December 31, 2005 12:48 PM (GMT)
first time on this forum as ive never watched this series or the film, although i know 1 or 6 people who have, i bought it yesturday and have so far watched 2 and a half episodes, so i owe melian a BIG apology...

before she left for sheffield she tried really hard to converte me, but i was to stubborn, but i have to say, with the clever script, brilliant yet subtle humour, realistic fight scenes (no-one hits every swing, and people would use sand and chairs to fight dirty) and of course the lovley ladies :naughty: , i have to say im LOVING THIS SHOW.... so thanks K, you were right

melian awarded 8 smugness points B) B) B) B) B) B) B) B)

 I'm sure she will appreciate that, and deservedly so

Just remember to pace yourself as it will soon run out :tear: enjoy the verse

Excellent, we have another one... I always knew your taste was better than TV Yank's....

Calculon - December 31, 2005 02:45 PM (GMT)
OK

Q1. what do you mean it will soon run out?

Q2. what's the verse?

i just hope that mel wont go all 'told ya so' and i want to be the one to say it K, i wish i had let you converte me as it would have been fun to watch it with you...

oh well, maybe one day...

oh i and i just realised, now i have to go buy the dvd, more overtime req'd

laughitupfuzzball - December 31, 2005 04:01 PM (GMT)
Well unless something drastic happens these will be the only 14 eps we'll ever see and by the time you get to no. 14 you will be gutted there isn't more :(

On the bright side - there is the shiny movie :yahoo:

2 - You'll see after a few eps ;)

there are always occassions for rewatches, I'm doing one at the moment

by the way the more DVD sales the better, it's about the only chance for another movie :D

Did you meet or see Summer - alias River while at MK? Wash and Book are at the next one in MK :)

Glad to see you are finally seeing things my way

Thank you for the apology and smugness points

You can buy me a beer next time I see you ;)

cant wait for c.mania, wash is funny, but book holds (in my opinion) the funniest and coolest line of the series...

zoe "preacher, don't the bible have some pretty specific things to say about killing?"

book "quite specific... it is however somewhat fuzzier on the subject of kneecaps"

BRILLIANT

I do live in Sheffield, but Calculon and I were housemates for about 3 years in Cambridge. Trust me to only tell him about this site as I was leaving

Hope that clears it up ;)

So melian so many smugness points do you have over all? Well done for intoducing Calculon to the greatest sci-fi show of all time :yahoo:

Seeing as we all sad about the fact there is not enough Firefly I think we should all sing a little song that always cheers me up:

Jayne!
The Man they call Jayne!

Oh, He robbed from the rich
and he gave to the poor.
Stood up to the man
and he gave him what for.
Our love for him now
ain't hard to explain.
The hero of Canton
the man they call Jayne. ................. you know the words
