Title: War With The Gods: Penultimate
jamiearmour - December 29, 2005 10:50 AM (GMT)
Sorry for the delay guys, w**k and alcohol really ate in to my writing time
War with the Gods. Penultimate.
"I'm not going to kill her Angel! I did it once, it was fun at the time, but I'm not that guy anymore."
"Yeah, you're all soulled up and pussy like."
"Uhm, excuse me? I hate to interrupt this seriously messed up episode of Days of our unlives, but nobody's killin' me tonight." With that, a startlingly well performed roundhouse kick was delivered to both Angel and Spike. Sending both vampires to the ground.
"This is your fault goatee boy."
"Shut up and kill her already. She's a bad guy right now, right? You're all reformed and stuff, you kill bad guys, she's bad, do your stuff." Angel replied, climbing to his feet.
Spike turned away from the slayer, and looked directly at Angel, "Just who the hell are you? Are you Angelus again? If you are, I'll bloody well kill you before I kill her, again."
"I'm not Angelus, don't ever say that name to me again." Angel's face was full of rage at even the idea of Angelus being back. Spike could tell it was the truth, but. he also realised that something else was very, very wrong with Angel.
"I hate to repeat myself, but can we get on with this." Spike turned just in time to see a foot flying gracefully at his face, he tried desperately to duck, but the foot connected, sending Spike arcing backwards through the air. He landed head first against a wall and felt his conciousness drift away.
Angel couldn't help but smile as he watched the slayer advance on Spike's prone form, drawing a stake from her jacket pocket...........
The Academy.
"Noooooo." A blur of movement drew Wesley's eyes away from the ball of magical energy flying at him, suddenly Illyria was in front of him. "I will not allow you to die again my Wesley" The energy flew on, until, it vanished. Wesley looked at Willow and Tara, both looked drained as though recalling their magic had somehow drained them. He had no time to catch his newly restored breath before another threat arose.
"Die ya wee bastard." Senga appeared again, in the same blue flash that had removed her from the firing line mere moments ago. The ax of the slayer held high, ready to strike downwards at anything that dared come between her and her quarry, Wesley. Illyria reached up and seized her by the wrists, the strain of holding back the slayer was evident on her face. Senga was strong, almost as strong as Illyria herself.
As Senga found herself lowered to the ground by Illyria, another pair of hands wrapped around her. The touch was one she knew, she did not resist it. She turned her body in the embrace she knew so well, from distant but strong memory and gazed into the eyes of her mother. The ax fell from her hands as she began to weep uncontrolably in her mothers arms. "It's awright ma wee darlin' girl. Ye're safe now. These aren't the bad guys. These people want to help fight this, but they cannae if you kill them. You understand?" Senga nodded mutely and imperceptibly as her head rested in the soft flesh of her mother neck.
"And who are you exactly?" Buffy asked looking at the bizarre tableau in front of her.
"I'm Senga's mother. I couldna let my wee girl help destroy the world now could I?"
The Amazon Basin.
The fight was over, The bodies of the fallen Angels had vanished in blue sparkles, all of which had found themselves drawn to Faith. She still stood bathed in them as Joyce stood from where she had been hiding. "We need to go now, there's still so much to do."
"Yeah" added Robin uncertainty filling his voice, "we need to get back to the academy with that spear thing."
"No," Joyce replied. "There's trouble elsewhere that we need to take care of first." Joyce raised her hands to the skies, and the group were gone.
Lourdes.
"Damn it." Angel said as he flew to the defence of Spike. "I know I'm going to regret doing this, but I have to, he's a good guy here." Standing between the slayer and her vampire prey is never a great idea for another vampire, it just pisses the slayer off no end, this was no exception.
"I haven't been told to kill you Angelus, but if you stay in my way, I will."
"Better slayers than you have tried, only one has succeeded though. She's on my side by the way." Angel retorted sarcastically. "Anyway, if Spike here can kill you, how hard can it be?" He ran at the girl with the stake, only to be stopped by some invisible force, trying to take advantage of his apparent impediment, his opponent tried to step forward, but she too found herself stopped. Both would be combatants looked at each other in shocked disbelief. Both knew it hadn't been the actions of the other that had brought this about, they shared a look of confusion that told that to the world. The confused looks soon faded to glares of utter hatred and contempt, neither of them noticed the flash of light to their left, at least not until a voice rang out in the night.
"Momma?"
Both fighters turned, "Robin? Oh baby you're all growed up." Tears filled her eyes as she looked at the son she had thought she would never see again, after that fateful fight with Spike in the subway.
Angel too was in shock, "Mrs Summers?"
"Oh come on Liam, we've known each other long enough for you to call me Joyce."
"Why are you calling him Liam?" Oz asked Joyce in a hushed tone.
"Because that's who he is." Joyce whispered back.
"Alright, that's it. Now I am going to kil...." Spike stopped mid threat, as his eyes took in the scene before him. "What the f.."
The Academy.
"OK, now that we've had the Waltons apocalypse reunion episode, can we get to w**k on the fact that the world is about to end?" All eyes turned to Glory, with varying levels of disdain and loathing. Completely oblivious, she continued. "The armies of Heaven are going to be here soon, I can sense them approaching. I can also tell you, they're not happy bunnies."
"Why did she have to say that?" Anya squealed from the back of the crowd.
A golden glow filled the hallway, and a figure appeared. "I come to give you one last chance to repent."
"Who are you?" Asked Buffy, as she became more and more exasperated by these continued magical appearances.
"Jesus..." Senga whispered.
"Well that's who he looks like." Xander added, in utter shock.
To be concluded

Start guessing now.
There's a prize if you guess both of them. (I'm not kidding, I need to make room for my Christmas presents, there really is a prize going)
