Sky One have bought the rights to the show and will air it early 2006, yay :thumbsup:

I don't know wether it's old news but I couldn't see at post about it, David Boreanaz's new show Bones will air for the first time on UK tv on Sky One January the 12th I'm not sure what time the episode well start though, I have been to the web site but the pages don't seem to be loading I have a feeling that could be my computer and not the website.

I'm looking forward to this, but am a bit unsure as it is 'loosely' based on the main character from a series of books I love by Kathy Reichs.

I saw a trailer for Bones last night and I think if it wasn't for DB in it I probably wouldn't be watching it. I hope it's a lot better than the trailer! :unsure:

Saw it too. I thought it looked intriguing, but I did have the volume down as I was on the phone. But I'll be watching anyway.

I would be happy to tape Bones for anyone who want see it the only problem would getting the tapes to evey but I'm open to suggestions as to how it could be done. Failing that if any of find yourself in north-east on Tuesday nights feel free to drop in.

Is everyone else tuning in? Those without SKY, I can tape it if anyone is interested but you would have to pass the copy around. Acrtually, moving with modern times, I bet you can download it!

I'll probably watch the first one to see what it's like and then go from there.

BONES hasn't been very strong in the ratings but that may soon change. On Jan 25th, it will move to Wednesday following AMERICAN IDOL. That was how HOUSE became a hit last season.

HOUSE had followed BONES on Tuesday. But starting next week it will follow the Tuesday AMERICAN IDOL. HOUSE is already in the top twenty. But its ratings should edge higher, too.

So Angel was walking around in daylight and nothing happened to him ;) :lol:

Hated the completely unrealistic 3D holographic reconstruction crap. ALthough I quite liked the programme. Will be watching next week!

He looked great from the side but weird with shorter hair than usual from the front :ermm:

Thought the epsiode seemed edited down for length; some of the forensic/ expositional explanations seemed a bit short. . :unsure:

Some of them seemed very rushed as well. At one point, I thought I'd left the thing on fast forward ;) :lol:

It's probably why he spent most of the episode squinting instead of brooding :lol:

one thing i didn't get was the scene in the car, they were talking so familiarly that I thought he was her ex, Pete.

then this Pete-guy turns up as a complete loser :rolleyes:

Forgot to mention that I loved the sets - it looked like they`d put some money into building the whole sciencey area. :thumbsup:

having never been a D.B. fan, i wasn't sure what to expect, but i really enjoyed it..

although i did think it was a bit rushed, as they were talking so quickly i had to keep rewinding it(sky+ box, not video), god i love sky... having said that i will be watching again next week

I thought it was ok, pretty cliched but ok. DB, Bones and the best friend were fine but the two other guys were annoying and pretty useless.

I thought it looked pretty cheap as well, the scenes with them driving where they used the filmed background reminded of Police Squad / The Naked Gun. ;)

Might watch it again, not sure. :shrug:

I enjoyed it CSI meets cold case I thought, there seems to be a lot of these types of shows on at the minute. DB plays the one part he know how to he's gone from brooding vampire to brooding FBI Agent but he does it well. I will watch again next week.

Enjoyed the show. Only gave it a shot cos DB was in it, and i was surprised at how much i enjoyed it. The dialogue between Bones and Booth is really funny. I was expecting there to be a few more twists in the storyline. Also I really liked that 3D holographic thing. The main reasons i like it are for the funny lines and DB of course.

Will be watching next week for sure.

I haven't heard that it has been renewed for a second season. It is struggling in the ratings. The last figures I heard were from the previous week when it followed AMERICAN IDOL. IDOL had some 32 million viewers. BONES had 11 million. A very disappointing showing. However, the numbers, taken out of context, are not horrible.

I still haven't watched past the second episode yet, but the first couple were decent enough.

Re the ratings, taking American Idol out of the equation, 11 million viewers isn't actually that bad for Fox is it John ? I read somewhere that for the week Fox averages around 13 million, which is buoyed enormously by the 30-odd million viewers that AI pulls in.

AI would skew the average quite a bit. I would think that 11 million is pretty good ratings for FOX. I think other shows on the major networks are considered successful with those ratings. MEDIUM, I think, pulls in about 13 million against CSI: MIAMI and NBC is very happy with that (of course, NBC is in the position FOX was late year :fear: ).

I don't know what the ratings were for BONES last nite, but it had anomolous competition: the Grammy Awards.

Does anyone know the name of the band and the song which plays over the trailer for bones?

I think its Depeche Mode....it sounds very like them put I'm not sure about the title though....

I watched the first couple of episodes - great to see DB back on our screens, but not exactly the best show ever created :sleeping: I 'forgot' to watch the next episode :blush: and kind of watched the next one while I was busy doing other stuff on the PC. I'll try harder, I promise... :whistling:
