I have a partition on my hard drive and two copies of Windows. When I turn the computer on it asks which install of Windows I want to boot up in. By default it selects one of the installs and boots into that after a few seonds if I don't do anything.
My problem is that the one it selects by default is the one I don't want to use very often. How to I change it to select the other one by default?
I would think by default it would choose whichever is on the C:drive
If only that were true, it boots on the most recently installed which is the F drive.
My only experience with multi-boot systems was by using Partition Magic which worked perfectly. I'm not sure how native windows works.
Older versions of PM used a boot manager by IBM before they wrote their own. Perhaps the IBM one could be public domain? - probably worth a search
You could always "acquire" Partition Magic from somewhere.
Is there no option in your BIOS for "Boot to OS 2" (oslt)?
...not used it my self so....
