It seems that Amazon have joined the backlash against Sony and it's new "copy protection software". They are offering refunds to everyone who has bought the new cd's, whether they've played the cd's on their computers or not.

Great time to get rid of any "accidental purchases" :lmao:

I thought Sony stated that the XCP software was only used on CDs released in the US?

Therefore I think they are refering to amazon.com....not amazon.co.uk...but I could be wrong :shrug:

I also might add I don't but Sony BMG CDs after purchasing Astronaut by Duran Duran you can't download the tracks onto your computer without installing THEIR software which I may add is RUBBISH and doesn't allow you the ability to download the tracks to a MP3 player, and therefore I unistalled it immeaditely!

They now have one less customer!

Most of the bands on their label (apart from The Coral and Duran Duran are dismal anyway).

Best record label Universal and its affliates, at least they don't restrict the use of MP3 players and download virus like software onto your computer!
