Title: Season 3 - Bravo Pace

Anna - June 21, 2004 09:01 AM (GMT)
So that was Ricky. I thought he did well. I didn't think of David Brent once.

willowroolz - June 22, 2004 09:11 PM (GMT)
That's funny, I was thinking of David Brent all the time! I didn't find him very convincing. And that Irish pub? How insulting was that?!

Did you watch the behind the scenes thing afterwards? That was quite funny, although it repeated a lot of stuff from the Story So Far doc at the start of the season.

Kudz - June 22, 2004 09:27 PM (GMT)
I hope the behind the scene's thing is shown on terrestrial!

willowroolz - June 22, 2004 09:30 PM (GMT)
It seemed to be pretty Bravo specific, Karen, a lot of mentions for the channel, from the actors, the producers and the presenter.

Anna - June 22, 2004 10:52 PM (GMT)
No I watched Goodfellas instead - I'll check to see if it's repeated. The last special Bravo made was.

Oh well, in that case it probably wont be shown on terrestrial then!

Thanks for answering!

Here's an article I found about the ep with Ricky Gervais in, let me know if you can't read it:

Saw this episode last night. Didnt think Ricky was that great, though I guess he was ok for that particular character portrayal. My fave part of the whole episode had to be the hotel room set up, and of course Syds acting and wardrobe.

Not Vaughn's English accent? ;)

He actually did that quite well, didn't he?

Flamingo - July 6, 2004 02:59 PM (GMT)
Yep, it was more realistic than Sarks when I think about it :nerd:

melian - July 12, 2004 04:03 PM (GMT)
OMG - did last nights episode rock or what :D

Apart from Vaughns dodgy piercings that is ;)

Someone should tell Vaughn that, if he's going to go undercover, he has to lose that permanently worried expression on his face. :P

Seriously, though, he's been annoying me the past few weeks. Just how blind is he? I'm going to be happy to see him end up with egg on his face.

melian - July 13, 2004 09:22 AM (GMT)
You gotta feel sorry for the poor guy, he's married to one woman (yes she's evil but he didn't know that at the time) but still in love with another. All he's tried to do is sort out his feelings for both ladies in question, try to do the right thing by his wife. No wonder he's been a little more frowny than usual (though not by much it must be said ;) )

willowroolz - July 13, 2004 09:33 AM (GMT)
Syd'd be better off with Weiss. Support the underdog!

melian - July 13, 2004 09:37 AM (GMT)
Weiss seriously needs some action. Even Marshall's got a wife now :D

willowroolz - July 13, 2004 09:39 AM (GMT)
Weiss obviously smiles too much - Syd doesn't go for anyone unless they wear a frown that makes them look permanently constipated.

melian - July 13, 2004 09:44 AM (GMT)
Stop picking on Vaughn. His frown lines are part of his character :D

willowroolz - July 13, 2004 09:49 AM (GMT)
I know - he's very good at playing a character who's suffering from haemorrhoids. :P ;)

Flamingo - July 13, 2004 01:02 PM (GMT)
I know I should be defending Vaughn but WR is right, the frown is getting way outta control... oh and Weiss Rulz! Shame they will be reducing his role- why the hell he wants to play a bounty hunter is beyond me, CIA agent is so much more fun

What's that about, Kate? I hadn't heard that.

Oh, and thanks for backing me up! :D

Flamingo - July 13, 2004 01:19 PM (GMT)
I read it in Alias mag. JJ has a new show about Bounty Hunters and Greg is going to star in it. This means they will be reducing his role to guest starring. I think the show is called Lost but Im not sure.

willowroolz - July 13, 2004 01:22 PM (GMT)
Oh right, thanks. I'd heard about that but didn't realise he was going to be in it. I read something somewhere that JJ said working on this new show had allowed him to look at Season 3 of Alias with a bit of perspective. I got the feeling he wasn't all that happy with the way things have gone this year.

Flamingo - July 13, 2004 01:26 PM (GMT)
Ive just realised Lost is JJ's other new show about plane crash survivors, Greg is actually in his new show called 'The Catch'

willowroolz - July 13, 2004 01:28 PM (GMT)
I hope JJ isn't going to start taking on too much at the expense of Alias. He's working on the upcoming Superman movie as well, isn't he?

Flamingo - July 13, 2004 01:34 PM (GMT)
Here is a quote from an article in the mag

Abrams, in the middle of editing his ABC pilot Lost said the time away from day to day production on Alias has galvanised him for the next season."Doing Lost has been the best thing for Alias in a way because I got away from it enough to look at it anew" "I was involved all year in Alias, but a pilots an intense job"
Abrams said the third season has marked a ' very dark, difficult time for the characters and I think thats been reflected in the episodes. What im excited about is the rebirth of the characters and bringing back some of the hope and humanity"

And yep, he does have the writing credits for Superman 2006..

willowroolz - July 13, 2004 01:36 PM (GMT)
That's exactly what I read. Have you been looking over my shoulder or something?

Flamingo - July 13, 2004 01:37 PM (GMT)
