Stardate: Unknown Thanks to his relationship with Quark and Rom's mother Ishka, Grand Nagus Zek announces that he will allow equal rights for women on Ferenginar. When Ishka has a heart attack, Quark poses as a convincing female in order to let the law pass.

I don't think this one is as bad as people make it out to be - it's far better than this seasons dregs like Resurrection or His Way :)

The trouble is that this reads just like any other Ferengi story - Quarks mother is encouraging the female revolution on Ferenginar, and it's all gone wrong....

Still, it's interesting to note that in the 24th century a sex change is so easy - since Quark implied he was 'fully functional' as a female, does this mean that various private parts were lopped off and sewn back on afterwards? So during this episode there was a little jar in the Infirmary labelled Quark's knob - keep your hands off, Garak! '? :)

You've thought about this way too much Phillip :o

Personally, I like this one :)

Okay you know as soon as it's a Ferengi episode that it'll be silly and probably involve Ishka and Brunt, but so what? All the actors give good performances, the story keeps you amused and it gives a bit of screen time to some of the background cast.

Very enjoyable imo ( and so much better than Valiant, Times Orphan etc.)

Erm, quite

I'm sure there was a comment in the episode that lead me on to this thought, but it's not something I'm overly fussed about going back to find out :)

It was fun. Always good to see Zek, and some of Rom's comments were hilarious. The final scene was funny.

I find the Ferengi episodes to be at either ends of the scale, either very good, or very bad. I'm not much for this one tbh.
