It's finally here. This review contains many spoilers. If you haven't read the book but want to, look no further until you have. If you have no interest in buying the book, read away, maybe this'll change your mind.

I got my hands on issue 1 this morning, after 6 months of counting down, the (allegedly) biggest event in DC history really kicks off.

Picking up directly from where the prequel mini series ended, IC finds DC's heroes splintered and dissilusioned, and under attack like never before.

With the death of the ancient sorcerer SHAZAM, wild, untapped magic is loose again in the world of men.

The Rann/Thanagarian war continues unabated, whilst a mysterious void forms around the combatants.

Superman, Wonderwoman and Batman, are at each others throats. Superman had until recently been under the control of a lunatic. Maxwell Lord, head of an independant organisation called Checkmate. An organisation created to monitor and control Superhumans. Wonderwoman killed Mr Lord, but his Computer system "Brother eye" is now sentient, and is carrying out his prime directive. The destruction of all Super powered entities on Earth, and it has millions of superstrong cyborgs (called Omacs) with which to do it. Many heroes have already fallen, and more will follow suit.

Not only that, the heroes also face the fact that all of their super powered foes have joined forces under the leadership of Lex Luthor. This "Society of Supervillains" has almost every villain in existence on their books, and they're all w**king together for a common cause, to destroy all heroes. But they have an enemy that they never expected. The real Lex Luthor :o

Then there's the return from the dead of Donna Troy. Once believed to be Wonder Womans sister, now revealed to be a daughter of the Titans. Sister to Zeus, and one p*ssed off momma, cause she knows what's coming. The end of the Universe, again

It all ties in to the classic series "Crisis on Infinite Earths" conveniently re-released as a trade paperback today :whistling: Where a thousand parralel Universes were collapsed into one. The one we know today. Everything that's happening in Infinite Crisis is tied to this event apparently, so you might wanna pick that up. If you enjoy death and destruction on a Pan Galactic level, you'll love that book.
