Title: Veronica Mars
John Brawn - October 10, 2005 07:26 PM (GMT)
I noticed on IMDB that Veronica Mars was being released on R1 DVD and just wondered if anyone had heard anything about a R2 release as it seems to be the only other thing that has intrigued me since Buffy finished. Has it been on Sky? sk

Veronica Mars is currently airing on Living tv weekdays at 6:05pm (after the Charmed double bill) :)
I haven't been able to catch it yet because it's on at a bad time for me. It's a shame because I was really looking forward to seeing it <_< (It wouldn't be so bad if it was only one episode per week, but there's no way I'm going to catch up with a show that's airing 5 nights a week  )
I haven't heard anything about an R2 release yet, anyone else?
Crichton Kicks - October 10, 2005 09:52 PM (GMT)
AFAIK there's no word on a R2 release yet.

It's ace! I would imagine a R2 release will happen sometime after the show has finished airing over here

http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=4277The clicky thing gives you details of how to download the creator`s commentary for the pilot episode - useful if your ep. is still on a tape , I suppose. Or if you can remember back a week !
I expect Living will repeat it soon - I think that`s what they did with JoA, running it on weekdays and then repeating it soon on the weekends or something ? :ponder:
Bill The Bloodless - October 11, 2005 12:07 PM (GMT)
It's quite enjoyable so far, though I agree the times are a bit of pain.

5 days a week is a bit of a pain for me ( I've taped but haven't got around to any of this week's episodes yet  ) but it is very good and I've enjoyed it a great deal so far.

6.05pm on Living and an hour later on Living+1 :D
Fangy and grrr - October 21, 2005 06:54 PM (GMT)
Alyson Hannigan's first appearance in the show today. Can't believe it but I really felt for Logan today when he broke down crying on Veronica's shoulder. :tear:
Another great week of episodes. The balance between each episodes own mysteries and the season long one is very well done and I'm now actually quite grateful that its on every day as I'm finding the season long mystery arc very, very addictive. :toomuchtv: :)

I enjoyed tonight`s ep, except for the bit right at the end when I thought huh ? Did Veronica spot someone ?
Fangy and grrr - October 21, 2005 07:06 PM (GMT)
I thought that she thought ;) that the guy she spotted looked like the the head of security from the software guy's company.

So it was the security guy from Kane Software. :)

Hmm, wasn`t sure about this last episode - it seemed to have too much going on for me... :ponder:
Although I did like the Betty/Veronica stuff - was that originally from the Flintstones ?

I'm glad she finally found her mum and the way they put her straight into re-hab and thus out of the picture again was neatly done. I also liked that it was her putting the cookies in her friends locker, behind all that bravdo she a sweetheart. :)
Erm well there was a Betty in the Flintstones.
Outta Sight - October 25, 2005 08:49 AM (GMT)
I really liked this episode  The individual storyline with the mascots was funny whilst the overall arc took another twist with Veronica's mother providing an alibi for Jake Kane. I am really going to hate to see this show end :tear:

Don`t know why I thought of the Flintstones... :ponder:

I love VM.. I've not been so excited about a TV show since I first heard about Lost! I couldn't resist, so I ordered the R1 boxset.. I'm hoping it'll be here before we see the conclusion to Season 1 next Tuesday.
Fangy and grrr - October 30, 2005 11:01 PM (GMT)
Another great week of episodes. And another great cliffhanger to end on and just as I was beginning to like Logan as well.
Still no idea who killed Lily  I don't think it will turn out to be Duncan and I hope its not either Logan or Weevel. :ponder:
Bill The Bloodless - November 1, 2005 01:52 PM (GMT)
I don't think it'll be Duncan either but he looks the most likely, it has to be someone close or they wouldn't have gone to all the trouble with the cover up.

It was the first episode I watched yesterday - I quite liked it - the missus hated it though

I was thinking that maybe Duncan's parents covered it up because they thought it was him ( due to his violent outbursts ) when really it was someone else.
Bill The Bloodless - November 1, 2005 03:18 PM (GMT)
That's possible, though if it isn't one of the Kanes then it doesn't leave that many suspects and it'll be a bit of a cop out if it's an unknown.

Yesterday's episode probably wasn't the best introduction to the show  That was a more darker episode now that we're about to reveal the mystery but much of the rest of the show has been the perfect blend of humour, drama and surprises

I was wondering if it could've been Logan's dad, Aaron  Maybe Lily was having an affair with him  He'd certainly have the money for a cover up <_<

I wouldn't be surprised about an affair, Logan's dad was not a nice person, but I wouldn't think it was him. I could be wrong though. :)

I was thinking it might be Logan's dad as well. :ponder: We know he slept around and we saw him getting violent with AH's boyfriend. :ponder:  :)
I agree with Bill though that it has to be someone we know, if it turns out to be someone unknown or obscure I'll be very disappointed. If its the Kane security guy that will be a real cop out imo.

We're all veering towards the men here but it could also have been Lily's own mother or even Logan's mother :ponder:
It's a rare show where I am as supremely stumped as I am here  Only 2 hours til we find out :yahoo:
Bill The Bloodless - November 1, 2005 04:20 PM (GMT)
Or even Veronica's mother.
Veronica's investigation has been a continual theme but apart from showing us that it wasn't Abel Koontz (sp?) the discoveries have been inconclusive which has left the identity of Lily's killer open, which should make the finale very good viewing. :)

I'd never even included Veronica's mother on the list :lmao: And, of course, she appeared at the end of last night's episode :ponder: Whatever the outcome, it will be a surprise to me and that's quite a novelty these days ;)
