Sounds like ANOTHER way to get more money out of us? As someone said on a previous post, what else can they give us that we don't already have? :ponder:

That was sooo bad it could be classed as a curse? How are you Claire? I've not spoken to you for a while!
prophecy girl - October 5, 2005 10:44 AM (GMT)
i doubt joss will ever let pilot be in a DVD
so the DVD might be about buffy biggest/darkest fight: the gift and so on
/same old same old :)
The last watcher - October 5, 2005 11:04 AM (GMT)
Judging by blurb on the link PG put up it will just be the last episodes from several series where Buffy finally takes on the big bad........
So yeah....same old, same old........ :ermm:
prophecy girl - October 5, 2005 11:09 AM (GMT)
7 seasons ... 7 finales = 7 episodes for a DVD :ponder: but ..........
| QUOTE |
The coldest, darkest and most terrifying conquests of Buffy the Vampire Slayer are captured in this 2-DVD collection that includes 8 of the most terrifying episodes |
it might include hush
Maria - October 5, 2005 11:13 AM (GMT)
They will have zero consistency if they put Hush on. It probably will be though.
I can't see them just putting the finale on though as most of them have a two ep build up.
"I am my thoughts" - October 5, 2005 11:27 AM (GMT)
I can't see the point of releasing singular dvds, when the only people interested in them would have got the series on video, if not dvd. It would only be worthwhile if they included loads of unseen before extras.

Maria - October 5, 2005 11:29 AM (GMT)
I second that Sarah! It's the same witht eh Best of DVD's, another way to make money!
buffy_fan1 - October 5, 2005 05:28 PM (GMT)
I can't see the pilot being on either iirc it's only 23 mintutes long and fat scary Willow um I mean Riff Regan  This look like another way for Fox to make money from the fans. If they must keep bring out this sort of DVDs why not gives us something new like an interview with Joss or better yet why not come up new ideas for merchandised :ponder:

How about some decent extras on the dvds? Cast commentary even. I was quite upset after trwaling through my new season 4 boxset that there was no word mentioned on A New Man. :(
I have seen the pilot episode on ebay, i take it this is bogus then?
Probably for the best, BTVS the movie was better than that. *ducks haddocks*

Sorry....fresh out of haddocks......will fish fingers do? :)
I've not seen the pilot (not sure I want to) but I refuse to believe the movie could be 'better' than anything...........ever! ;)

that didn't stop them to put half of a two part episode in the buffy best off <_<

Good point! Who ever decided on that one?
prophecy girl - October 6, 2005 08:51 AM (GMT)
i am not sure if it was joss favorite episodes or it was fans choice (after a poll)

Several worse things to spend time on:
Watching paint dry (depending on the shade)/ grass grow/ developments in Tory leadership fiasco... Snooker too- which to me will now always be not just BORING, but filled with a dreadful flashback of 'AND if Snooker's on I must be missing Buffy into the bargain'. Having the full set on video doesn't take away that nasty deprived feeling, ever- all I have to do is see multicoloured balls and I come over all unnecessary
But I would live to see the TV pilot- just out of curiosity-

I downloaded a slightly dodgy version of the pilot which seemed to clip(is that the right word) a bit but was just about watchable on broadband and can say it really is a waste of time. I still feel it should have been an easter egg on the S7 DVD just for the novelty factor. Seeing the useless Riff Regan shows that at least for a time the instincts of Joss and Marti were perfect and they had to keep looking for the perfect Willow.
My instinct is to say watch WTTH if you have the urge as it is infinitely better. sk

Or as it's better known in its own parallel universe:
'Slayer the same generation as her sister but obviously a throwback to something nasty, on her father's side presumably'.
They never even showed the pilot. :naughty:

I'd heard the title was being shortened to just 'Something nasty' ;)
prophecy girl - October 19, 2005 09:42 AM (GMT)
or " the curse" (of the key turned into the sister of the slayer)

Both w**k for me quite nicely, thanks.
('course with the first I'd be hoping for a new take on Cold Comfort Farm though)
And spare keys so traditionally get stuffed in kitchen drawers or lost down the back of sofas, that there's scope for a real audience pleaser in that one... :naughty:

I think Dawn was a watcher in every thing but name in one season she went from Buffy's little sister to being able to read 3 diferent languages and was handy with all sorts of weapons but then again I like Dawn so think it was a good
I've seen the pilot it's worth a watch just to laugh at Riff Regan  I have a copy but it won't play on my MAC for some reason :ponder:
I'm with Alex Fray would film :) so would Queen of the Slayer I just want to see a Buffy movie
