A casting call has gone out for the role of Lois Lane, Clark Kent's future love interest, who will reportedly appear in four episodes of the WB series Smallville, according to Kryptonsite. The fan site reported that a twenty-something Lois Lane will travel to Smallville in search of her cousin, Chloe Sullivan (series-regular Allison Mack). Lois is described in the casting breakdown as "caucasian, smart, beautiful, urban, headstrong, and no-nonsense."

Producers are also looking for a young actor to play a new character named Jason Teague, a college student at Metropolis University who will become a regular cast member. There is no word yet on which actors or actresses are being considered for the two roles. Smallville will begin filming its fourth season in Vancouver, B.C. in July.
