G-1 finds a genetically advanced Goa'uld-human hybrid created by Anubis, and returns him to Earth for study
I found this episode a little tedious to begin with, Daniel does seem quite harsh this series, he was very adamant that he should be killed. Absolutely right of course
A bit slow until the escape which was great  Robert Picardo turned in a good performance and quite believable too. The only thing I question is that on one hand they aren't convinced the Ori pose a threat to Earth and on the other they are willing to take great risks to gain intelligence on fighting them.
Good for Landry though  telling him where to go albeit to late :(
Khalek reminded me of Jude Law sometimes which for the part he was playing was quite a good thing :)

My favourite episode of the season so far, absolutely fantastic
Loved Neil Jackson's performance as the 'Son of Anubis'. I've had more than enough of Anubis, and the Goa'uld in general, but this was a terrific little addition to that particular thread of SG1.
You know things are pretty bad when Daniel suggests they kill someone rather than try and help him.
Bob Picardo again was superb, always a pleasure to see him on SG1, and again the character was well written and well played with Woolsey playing devil's advocate.
Great episode so this one.

I liked this one too. The guy who played kalic was good. I liked how he switched from confused innocence to sinister. The character provided a decent threat. You can understand why they wanted to kill him (but I can't quite believe that Daniel would ever support execution). Not sure why they decided he was going to be similar to a Prior though. What made them think priors are highly evolved in the first place?
Robert Picardo was good again. Nice to see him looking different to his holographic persona. I like how he is essentially a good guy, but a little misguided. I hope Landry can make an ally of him, rather than an enemy.
One thing I was thinking when he was on the rampage was 'please let them get him'. It seems to happen too often where the SGC accidentally unleashes a potential menace into the universe (like with Anubis and Linea). It seems its pretty easy to escape from the most secure facility in the US. Quite pleased to see they actually outsmarted him for once and killed him. He could have been a decent enough character, but I prefer that they are moving away from the Go'a'uld as the villains. They already brought back Bal, so I didn't really want to see them do the same with another go'a'uld.
Pretty good overall though.

As Alex has already mentioned, I thought this episode was a little slow at first, but then really improved ;)
Khalek was extremely scary when he suddenly looked up at Daniel when his gig was up :fear:
What I don't get (and bear in mind it was pretty late when I watched this episode) is why Anubis had left him in that lab to begin with

I think basically its because he wasn't finished yet. He needed several more sessions in the DNA machine, plus some time to get used to his new abilities.
Anubis probably got sidetracked when he went after earth.
