Title: Official Serenity Magazine

TV Yank - September 19, 2005 02:39 AM (GMT)
I got a pleasant surprise while browsing the magazine shelves. A 100-page magazine devoted to SERENITY. While I wasn't a fan of FIREFLY, the promos for SERENITY are playing on TV and I find I'm actually looking forward to the movie. It looks like River won't be stuck in her aimless mutterings. It made a big difference for me when she "woke up".

Like the BUFFY and ANGEL fan magazines, this is a nice, glossy British publication.

Ouch! $10 is a pretty hefty price tag for a magazine.

:tear: There is still no mention of the UK edition and nothing in the shops. :ermm:

I just checked Titan's site again and there is a competion to win the visual companion though  so fingers crossed it won't be long.

Does seem a bit pricey

Just ordered a copy from an on-line comic store for £4.99, the same place I picked up all of the Serenity figures. It was the last copy they had in stock though. :(

Just got one in WHsmiths in my small town so it should be easy to find. However, I can't actually read it because I'm scared of spoilers. The evil SFX magazine spoiled me in a review they claimed was non spoiler, and I've been very careful ever since.

Still, the out side of the magazine looks nice...

 Fantastic, I'll go and buy one tomorrow, I won't look too much, maybe I'd better hide it from myself

I have seen it in WH Smith in Sunderland I didn't have time to buy as I needed to catch the Metro home. Whats it like is it worth buying silly question I know. I thought it might be full of adverts? How much does it cost?

smellyphagor - September 25, 2005 11:08 PM (GMT)
It costs 4.99. I don't know if it is any good because I'm not reading it until after I've seen the film.

I had a look in the newsagents this morning on the way to school, but they never had it in. :(

melian - September 26, 2005 04:05 PM (GMT)
I'm going to go look for it tonight

Success  :yahoo:

It's shiny

Now all I need is a poster, but there doesn't seem to be any news about a serenity poster being released yet, maybe when the film comes out?

Just got it in Forbidden Planet, got a free mini poster with it

Was talking to the very nice man that served me and he told me that he meet Nathan and Morena at the Birmingham preview showings. They showed up unexpectedly, lucky thing  He said they were very nice, chatting to everyone and Nathan was very funny

BTW he also said the film was brilliant
