Warner Bros is getting behind Constantine helmer Francis Lawrence by handing him the reins to I Am Legend. The project is based on the sci-fi novel by Richard Matheson but has been trapped in development hell for nearly a decade. Director Ridley Scott and Arnold Schwarzenegger were attached in the early years while Michael Bay and Will Smith had a bash more recently. It's a post-apocalyptic tale set in LA after a biological war and follows the sole survivor (not yet cast) in a battle with nocturnal mutants. Er, 28 Days Later anyone? |
