Another good ep. Season nine is still going very well.
Finally, we got a Mitchell episode. Seems like he's been just making up the numbers since he joined SG1. Good to see Tony Todd as well. He has the coolest voice ever!
I was a little bored with Jaffa, but this episode made fairly good use of them by linking them to the ongoing Ori threat (with cigarette smoking man as the Prior too). Not sure why the Soban were so hostile to other free Jaffa. You'd think they would be happy about the whole Jaffa uprising thing.
The staff fighting scenes were good, particularly when Mitchell started to get the hang of it. Hope this will come up in a future ep. Mitchell has been trained by the hardest jaffa there are. Thats got to come in handy. Seems that both SG1 and Atlantis have got a decent fight co-ordinater on board. According to gateworld, BB wanted to do all the fighting himself, and took quite a beating.
Loved the star trek homage. When mitchell was poisoned, I was thinking "Is this a homage, or a rip off?". They pretty much cleared that up when Mitchell called the jaffa guy "Bones" when he woke up.
Didn't Mitchell essentially blow it for his new jaffa ally by sending his brother back home, knowing that he was still alive?
By the way, I just noticed on IMDB that the jaffa brothers in this ep are brothers in real life.

I thought they looked similar :)
Yay to the CSM although :fear: it makes the Ori even more frightening
Fabulous episode, I could almost pretend it was Farscape
Ben was absolutely superb as ever, I hope he gets more episodes with greater screen time.
The only groanworthy thing was the ending where suprise suprise we learn that it was his brother and Mitchell has to fight him  I suppose that is the only way the ending would w**k though.
Again we hear about the lack of funds to the Stargate project, is this going to be important later in the series do you think :ponder:

Great episode  Yeah, suprise, suprise, Karen liked an all BB episode
Apart from the obvious, I liked all the fighting sequences, and how Mitchell was determined to survive, to try to help the people who wanted him dead, to just not give up and lie down. Yay Cameron
Like you guys have said, CSM :fear: But I still think they could have used him more, maybe they are saving him for future episodes? :ponder:
And it's always a pleasure to see (hear ;) ) Tony Todd

It's about time we had more of Ben Browder's character as he has been seriously wasted in most of the earlier episodes. I thought he did very well in the fight sequences although they were not particularly special in my opinion but very good for SG1. I think Ben is definitely the perfect replacement for RDA and just needs to be given the leading role rather than being hidden in in the shadows of SG1.
The episode was better than the last few but nothing great. I did however feel the episode was very predictable , for example : like it was the brother's brother training him and that he didn't kill Mitchell.

I didn't realise it was a star Trek homage in fact I thought it was a very Farscape pop culture moment with the whole "bones" part. The story itself was very similar to the Tom Cruise movie The Last Samurai (a great movie if you haven't seen it already).

I wouldn't have thought so unless Cameron Mitchell returns to that planet or Tony Todds character sees Mitchell again off world. I doubt the other brother would say anything for fear of getting his brother killed.
btw isn't this ep 8 not 9?
