“Rise warriors of the light. The time is upon us, the time to reclaim this misbegotten Universe in the name of the Powers that Be. The forces of the Dark have long sought to rule the realms of existence, but today, that will end. This battle will not be easy, some of our Champions have already turned their backs on the light, but they too will see the error in their ways, just as they struck down by the glory.”

As the voice continued, one of the figures listening to the rallying call turned to the shrouded figure beside her, “Ah never really liked him much as a person, ah think he just got too big for his boots, started to believe his own P.R.”

The shrouded figure turned to her, “Fred, that’s Abraham Lincoln up there, show a little respect for the man.”

“Ah know fine and good who it is Wesley, but he’s still just a man to me. He might have put our country on the road to enlightenment, but, hell, my daddy could’a done that.”

The pair fell silent as Lincoln continued his speech, “We must be resolute. When the gates open and we soar to the mortal realms, we must remember, we do this for the sake of our friends and loved ones, you will be bringing about their most joyous of times, when they join you here in the realm of light. Only those who are evil, need fear our light.”

“Ah mean, Angel’s not gone bad again, but they’re makin’ out like he has. What’s that all about?”

“Your right of course, Buffy would never do anything to harm anyone either, but that’s why we’re here. To find out what’s going on. We may not find out the truth, but we’ll still know more than we did a while ago.”

“Yeah, and knowledge is power, that’s right aint it English?” Wesley turned to Gunn.

That’s exactly right my friend. Once we know what’s going on here, we can start to w**k out a way to help everyone. If I’m right…”

“And you always are” Gunn interjected.

“If I’m right.” Wesley continued. “Our friends may be on the tide of another apocalypse.”

“How many will that be now?”

“Well, I’ve lived through at least five.” Wesley continued. “But this one will be different. This one will be started by the so called Good guys. How do we stop that?”

“We do what Buffy would do, what Willow would do, what Angel would do.” Kennedy stepped forward to join her three would be allies, “We hit them till they stop wanting to destroy the world.” A grim smile crossed her face.
