Does anyone know if and when Channel five are going to show Season 4 of Alias?

No idea, but I think the consensus was that because the DVDs of Season 4 are coming out in the UK in November, that it was unlikely that the series would be shown on Channel 5. :shrug:

At the moment Play is the only place that says S4 is out in Nov. If that is the case then, as Little Pixie says, it seems unlikely that a terrestrial channel has bought it.

I suppose this means that Season 4 isn`t showing on terrestrial, now that Amazon UK is selling the series. :)

Still can`t decide whether to cancel my US order for the series 4 DVDs, after I looked at DVDcompare and saw that the Region1 Season 3 DVDs had more special features than the UK ones ( I think that`s right - the UK ones didn`t have the fan commentary on them ? :shrug: )

Also if you check out the Angel boards, someone says they've had an email from five to say they're not showing S5, maybe that's because the boxset is out for that as well.

So what's the difference in the extras between the r1 and r2 sets? :shrug: Is it just the fan commentary or are there other extra bits on the r1 boxset? If it's just the fan commentary that's missing on the r2 set then I think I'll still go with r2 because I'm not too fussed about hearing that :)

I`m spoiled ( slightly ) for Season 5 - but only for some of the cast spoilers - I cracked and couldn`t help myself. :blush:

Weird how five are being so inconsistent about Alias when they've shown S2 Dead Zone immediately after S1 ended and are about to do the same with S3.

Five don't have the rights to Season 4 of Alias and from what I can tell don't have any plans to buy them!

Anyone know of a website which lists the number of DVDs sold ? :shrug: Just wondering how Season 4 will do on DVD over here. :)

If five don't have the rights to show it, are any other channel going to pick it up. I know Bravo has them, but i don't have Bravo, i used to watch it on Sky One and then they stopped getting the rights as well.

Where do you look to find out which channels have the rights to different programmes, cos i can't find that info anywhere?

If five dont have the rights i may have to buy it on DVD.

Well C4 had the rights and let them go after one season iirc after destroying any chance of decent ratings. If Five don't want the rights for S4 I'd be very surprised if another channel wanted them. It doesn't fit in with what ITV1 or what the beeb show now, and they won't pick it up if the reason Five have for letting the show go is bad ratings.

I would be very surprised if any other terrestrial channel buys Season 4. With the release date of the Region 2 DVD, I'd say it was pretty much guaranteed that it will not be shown on television. I may be wrong, but no channel will buy the rights to a TV show if it's being released on DVD as it wouldn't be worth it.

Short of contacting the television stations themselves, I don't know where or how you'd find out if they have plans to show it.

As soon as i get the DVD's S4 is being shown on Living TV everyday at 3pm, started yesterday.

Well as it is on at 3pm think about how much they are going to have to cut out the violence.

Haven't started watching it yet, i've been watching Firefly for the first time and a variety of other live shows and with exams and assignments, there's not been much time for the family to sit down and watch Alias. I watched S2 without them and they got very angry.

Shame about the extras - are the ones from S3 any good, cos i haven't bought that yet.

I thought the S3 extras were as good as the previous sets, although I don`t remember the commentaries being as good.

Anyone know if S5 will be shown on five or Living as i may order that - although looking at some reviews/spoilers i don't know if it's worth it.

I doubt it, as far as I know only Bravo have/had the rights <_<

Living and Bravo are owned by the same company, so I would guess there`s a small chance that Season 5 will turn up on Living sometime in the future, like Season 4 did - although that was shown in the afternoon and cut ( :unsure: )...

If you want to see S5, maybe wait until the DVDs are reduced ? :shrug:

I thought there were a handful of good-ish eps, but ( for me ) it was the worst season of the five . <_<

Depending on the end of S4 - i've 3 eps to go, i will decide whether to get the DVD in November or wait for Living next year. I hear there is a cliffhnager, which may make me want to see more sooner.
