I wouldn't bother with a Chasing Amy Special Edition. I bought and watched it after seeing Mallrats and JASBSB, and DOGMA expecting another funny excellent Kevin Smith film what did I get some emotional story which was not what I was expecting and was poorly written and acted especially by Joey Lauren Adams. And only had Jay and Silent Bob in the film for only 5 minutes, but we did hear more from Silent Bob in these five minutes than from all of the other films combined. The films only saving grace was an excellent and at sometimes funny performance from Jason Lee and his interaction with Ben Afflecks character.

Different strokes for different folks I suppose, but I think Chasing Amy is a great film and would grab a Special Edition if one came out :)
