prophecy girl - August 24, 2005 09:29 AM (GMT)
Series 3 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer PALz Revealed

The third season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer was a pivotal one for the beloved denizens of Sunnydale. Not only did it introduce such memorable characters as rogue Slayer Faith, Watcher Wesley Wyndam-Pryce, and an all-new “Big Bad” in the form of Mayor Richard Wilkins III, but it provided important developments for the show’s core characters… most importantly, they graduated from high school.

Palisades Toys celebrates the third season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, with an all-new set of PALz highlighting some of the characters that made the season so memorable. The set of six PALz each comes with a costume transformation, tons of accessories, and a brand-new Inkworks card. And, as an added bonus, each PALz comes with a section of the post-ascension “Snake Mayor” that you can assemble when you complete the whole set!

Scheduled to land at retail early in the first quarter of 2006, the characters included in Series 3 are:

• Buffy from “Anne,” with the “hunga munga” (sickle-like weapon), a purse, an order pad, a plate of food, and a section of the Snake Mayor.

• Angel from “Amends,” with a Concrete wall with chains, ½ pint containers of blood, and a section of the Snake Mayor.

• Anya from “The Wish,” with her amulet/power center, books, and a section of the Snake Mayor.

• Faith from “Enemies,” with a stake, medical instruments, and a section of the Snake Mayor.

• Wesley Wyndam-Pryce from “The Prop,” with books and green “Watcher’s Journal,” a handkerchief, and a section of the Snake Mayor.

• Mayor Wilkins from “Bad Girls,” with The Books of Ascension, two swords, a lamp, moist towlettes, a “to do” list, and the graduation podium with microphone.

Sound like it could be good :ponder: I like the fact the author is from New York because I think you'll get a flavour of City is like we are always best off writing about what you know. I would love to write book about Buffy one day but thats not going to happen is it ;)

I know these have been out a while (I think) but I saw a set PALz figures from Halloween season 2 at Forbidden Planet and I was surprised at how much they were £23.50 which seem expensive to me when you get the Faith Graduation Figure £7.50 :ponder:

Once More, With Feeling Live in San Francisco
From Counterpulse.org - 2005-10-8

Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s

“Once More With Feeling-The Musical”

A live performance of a musical episode of the now defunct TV show that aired in its 6th season. Buffy and the “Scoobies” find themselves breaking out into songs and baring their deepest secrets, all the while fighting vampires and demons in the quaint suburb of Sunnydale. Actors, dancers, and a live band. And it is no coincidence that this show will be around Halloween. We encourage costumes

without the original actors i suppose :ponder:

Ever since OMWF came out I knew they would make it a stage show sooner or later! I'm suprised it it took them so long. Wouldn't be great if they could get the cast to do it  It could be good if they got the right people to do it.

She'd be ok with the live on stage bit......she cant exactly be shy after doing 'that scene' in when Harry met Sally........ :naughty:

But I'm sure the singing wont be something she'll be trying again soon.......

Of course if she wants lessons :shifty:

buffy_fan1 - October 12, 2005 06:47 PM (GMT)
I forgot she can't sing but I'm sure they could w**k around that, I would still come to see her on stage

a review of buffy, the vampire Slayer: The Chosen Collection
By Ed Hulse 10/31/2005
Fox, color, 40 discs, 140 hours plus supplements, Dolby Digital Surround, fullscreen, Street: Nov. 15, $199.98; First Run: Fox-TV, 1997-2003

Why is it that so many stars these days are reluctant to acknowledge the films or TV series that made them commercially viable in the first place? That's the question that immediately springs to mind when watching the bonus disc featurettes accompanying Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Chosen Collection, which collects all 144 episodes of the TV series in a massive box set. Sarah Michelle Gellar, Alyson Hannigan, Michelle Trachtenberg, Eliza Dushku, Seth Green and James Marsters—all of whom have since won top billing in various projects—are conspicuously M.I.A. in the Chosen supplements, produced by Michael Meadows, Paul Apel and Alan Baral. Of the show's principal cast members, only Nicholas Brendon ("Xander") is represented, although supporting players Emma Caulfield, Charisma Carpenter and Danny Strong make significant contributions. The six featurettes—for which all the new talking head footage seems to have been shot in one day—examine various aspects of the popular series, including the emphasis on sexuality, the approach to demonology and Buffy's status as a role model. The longest and most informative extra is "Back to the Hellmouth," a 55-minute gabfest between series creator Joss Whedon and various cast and crew members, including the aforementioned actors and executive producer Marti Noxon. This unscripted free-for-all elicits many fascinating facts and some refreshingly candid observations. (In describing one noteworthy event during production, Noxon places it in the period "just before I ruined season six"—a reference to fandom's well-known dissatisfaction with the show's direction in its penultimate year.) Whedon playfully directs the round-robin reminisces, although the participants' self-awareness and back-patting gets a bit tiresome. Pivotal moments in the series—including Angel's seduction of Buffy and the famous musical episode—are recalled with warmth and enthusiasm, making the hour-long conversation a real highlight. Buffy fans are devoted, and the hefty price tag on this deluxe limited edition set (which includes a collectible book and letter signed by Whedon) is not likely to greatly hinder sales, especially as Christmas approaches.

Sorry if this is old news, but Joss Whedon posted on Whedonesque a few days ago , and said that he would be writing some buffy comics comics himself.

His post is very entertaining, but be warned it contains a kind of spoiler if you havn't seen Angel series 5, and a small Alias spoiler.

Edit- oops, already posted in comic books section. Sorry.

Hah....I'd like to see her try........the fact is, MT is phisically taller than SMG...you only have to look at pictures of the two of them together.....

If SMG did try and make a fuss over it she wouldnt have a leg to stand on.....................well not a perticularly long one anyway..... :ph43r:

Sorry.......couldnt resist that..... :D

 I like your sense of humour Stuart  I don't think Sarah wiill mind she's know MT for years and treats her like a sister. As well recormending her for the part of Dawn MT says she had to audition for it but I don't buy it. They mentioned it a couple of times on the so I took it as an in joke.

Sarah just in case height is problm for you I spend my life sitting down you'll alway be taller then me :lmao: I could be the perfect guy for you!
