Title: 3x05 - Fredless

LoobiLou - August 22, 2005 07:55 PM (GMT)
Fred's parents make a surprise visit to Angel Investigations. However, when their inexplicably frightened daughter gets wind of their arrival, she flees the scene. Not trusting Mr. and Mrs. Burkle, the gang prepares to protect Fred from them---providing she can be found. Meanwhile, a strange, insectile demon stalks the crew.

just for the introduction of fred's parent  and wesley/cordie :lmao:

QUOTE

Fred: "But you said he loved her. And of course she's gonna love him back, because he's so strong and handsome and he really listens when you talk. I-I mean, if you go for that sort of thing, why wouldn't it w**k?"

Cordy: "Let me break it down for you, Fred.Oh - Angel! I know that I'm a Slayer and you a vampire - and it would be *impossible* for us to *be* together - *but!*"

Wes  "But! ................... My gypsy curse sometimes prevent me from seeing the truth. Oh, Buffy!"

Cordy: "Yes, Angel?"

Wes: "Oh, I love you so much I almost forgot to *brood!*"

Cordy: "And just because I sent you to hell that one time doesn't mean that we can't just be friends."

Cordy: "Oh!"

Wes: "Or possibly more."

Cordy "Gasp! No! We mustn't."

Wes: "Kiss me."

Cordy: "Bite me!"

Angel off screen: "How about you both bite me."

the bugs .... not the best plot ever ... and a little gross (and add a dozens to it and then you have a huge problem of special effect way too noticeable)

love the axe trap (or whatever fred gonna named that weapon)

the change of mind of fred is a little too quick and easy (i am gonna go.......... no i am gonna stay because they need me) :ponder:

not a bad episode but it could have been a lot better

6/10

I like this one. I like the way they introduced Fred's parents.

Cool demon and cool fight.

The Wesley and Cordy scene was really funny! :lmao:

And I thought Lorne and Fred's part was good aswell.

This gets a 7/10.

This episode seems more of a vehicle to change Fred's spiralling depression fast.

It manages to resolve her Angel crush and her constant hiding in her room in quite a reasonable fashion.

The plot with the bugs is a little silly but quite funny, especially the swinging prop in front of Fred's 'very normal parents'

One question though, why hadn't the team helped Lorne with his club. They could have helped to tidy up at least
