Another superb ep.
Very much a change of pace from earlier ones, much slower.
A disturbing discovery by Starbuck about the farms :x
and of course we now know what another of the cylon androids looks like.
I thought that the leader of the Caprica resistance seemed to take the fact that Boomer was a cylon remarkably well :ponder:
Looks like Caprica Boomer may be in for a somewhat hostile reception aboard Galactica next week - can't think why :ponder:
oh no, everytime they seem to show us a little bit more of the cylon's 'plan' i seem to get a little bit more dissapointed that in the long run the show is going to destroy its original idea of the cylon plan and come up with this mish mash idea of what they are planning, or i am going to outright hate the plan that the cylons have created.
I thought that the 'malevolant cylons doing gods w**k by killing the infadel humans' plan was fine, but now the new race thing seems a little weird, why wipe out 99% of the childbearing female population in the initial attacks only to then to have a hugley smaller number to breed with in their farms??? Also this would give them a smaller number of viable candidates i can only assume?
oh and the farm idea, anyone smell 'sliders' coming off of this episode???
But saying that, i thought that this episode was fantastic! The scenes in the hospital with Staruck were very creepy and disturbing, amazing. Then the way she escaped was funky, a bit violent but funky all the same :shifty:
Bring on Helo actually getting back to Galactica. Its been a long time coming
Been catching up on the new series over the weekend. I'm bowled over again by the constant quality of this show. I thought this ep was the best ep in all of the first seven, so it seemed like a good place to join the discussion.

I really liked "the Farm" idea. Its been obvious for a while that the cylons weren't just trying to wipe out the humans, and had something up there sleeves. I thought the fact that they couldn't procreate was good, and I also liked the 'child born of love' idea. The cylons, despite all there power and technology, are sometimes almost childlike in their thinking. This struck me as the sort of thing that they would have come up with. It made sense of the whole helo story, as well as the Number Six/Baltar relationship.
The Farm itself was quite horrific. Making the Cylons rapists makes them much more evil to me than them just committing genocide. This episode had elements of Rosemarys Baby, DemonSeed and even Alien in it.
Nice to meet another Cylon, even if he is a Go'a'uld.
Great ep, loved the slower pace, even thought it was immediately obvious what was going on I liked the way they tried to play it down and do a double bluff.
Starbuck's escape was brilliantly done, I thought, and like you guys have said, the scene in the farm itself was quite disturbing.
Paul, I agree, Anders did accept Boomer very easily, but I guess they had to get Grace Park back to the fleet somehow
Looking forward to seeing how they deal with those ships that followed Roslin and co back to Kobol :ponder:
