A reasonable enough episode - in which a character named Arthur Curry makes an appearance - and yes he wears an orange T-shirt and green swim shorts . .

Ah yes. Arthur Curry. Soon to be named King Arthur of Atlantis. AKA Aquaman
Yeah, the episode itself was interesting enough, seeing Clark get jealous when Lois fell for AC was hilarious.
But the punnage at the end was just sheer idiocy on the part of the writers.
"We should form a Junior Lifeguard Association."
"Nah, I don't think I'm ready for the J.L.A."
"Stay Super"
AAAAAARRRGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Well done for not mentioning that bloke from Buffy, Jamie  :ph43r:
jamiearmour - January 31, 2006 10:59 AM (GMT)
There was someone from Buffy in the show?
Who?

I watched this last night and have to say what rubbish. I remember a couple of years ago Smallville was getting quite good and it was all down to Lex and Lionel Luther. Their rivalry and twisted father and son relationship made fascinating viewing. What happened to this? :ponder: I can't say I care about Clark Kent, he's about as boring as watching paint dry. I think if it wasn't for the Luther's I would have given up on Smallville a long time ago. So in my humble opinion we need to see more of that.
Was it me or does James Marsters look a lot older? Also I can't get used to his American accent, I keep expecting him to sound like Spike.
the only consolation in this episode was Lois in her bikini's :ph43r:
Is it true that AC is getting his own show Aqua man or something? Baywatch meets Smallville With a "green" theme sounds fascinating.

It's fair to say that the 5th season has been shite so far. Too much Lana, not enough Lex, Lionel and Lois, and - for that matter - the Kents. The only redeeming feature is that Chloe has played a bigger part than in s4, where she was largely overlooked.
Trust me when I say, if you thought this episode was bad you should give serious thought to skipping the next one entirely ;)
They've got some serious w**k to do to turn things around, imo.

Unfortunately I've just read this Message after watching the next episode last night. :( thanks for the warning anyway. :)
Dear God it was awful. :( Perhaps I should post on the other thread. :ponder:
