Stardate:50049.3 While searching for minerals on a planet, Sisko, Dax, O'Brien, Worf, and Muniz discover the wreckage of a crashed Jem'Hadar ship. However, they are not the only ones interested, because the Dominion is anxious to retrieve the vessel.

This is a difficult one here - while it's a very good story - I just can't think of anything to say about it! :)
It was a nice touch that they killed off Muniz (a very minor recurring character) when they could have killed off the 'redshirt of the week' - it made his death feel a bit more than another token death.

I liked the way the episode pretty much boiled down to the fact that because the two of them were so sceptical and untrusting of eachother and constantly giving half-truths and such, both of them suffered losses that they could have avoided if they'd just been upfront in the first place. :)

I'd forgotten how good this one was :)
A fairly straightforward and simple story but well scripted and acted throughout. Don't know who plays Muniz but he turns in a damn fine performance and has some nice interplay with O'Brien both before and after he gets wounded :)

Okay, confused now, cos I remembered this one as well. Maybe I've seen the whole series but forgotten about it :ponder:
Did anyone else think that Muniz was coming on to O'Brien at the start? :lmao: Of course, they had to kill him off before anything like that could happen
Anyway, good episode, well acted. I particularly liked the conflict between O'Brien and Worf, and the way that part was concluded. Had to laugh at the way Avery's cheeks wobble when he's being angry :fear:
I think they could - and should - have come up with a better exterior for the ship, though. It wasn't very convincing (it looked like a few cardboard boxes thrown together) and, considering they shot the interior at an angle, it didn't look right. I liked the interior sets, though, with everything on the "ceiling"
I liked the scenes towards the end, showing Sisko's reactions to losing crew members and how it all could have been avoided had their natural reactions been suppressed in favour of compromise :)

Always liked this one. I see the Founders have now changed tack and try to throw Sisko off-guard by sending a Hottie Vorta!
It's a shame about Muniz. If you look back at the last few episodes you'll notice that they'd been w**king him into the stories, obviously to add a little more weight for his death in this one. While it's great to flesh out the peripheral characters, something DS9 does very well IMO, to do it for the sole benefit of creating a pseudo 'regular character' death always narks me a little.
It's a minor gripe though, I still think this one's a fantastic episode
