Title: Angel Character Dvd Sets

This might be old news but I noticed today that the Angel character DVD sets were in the WH Smith charts. Why exactly anybody would bother with them escapes me but never mind. The Wesley disc seemed best with Parting Gifts, Guise will be Guise, Loyalty and Sleep Tight if memory serves. sk

To me these always seemed like Fox looking for more money from the fans. You could argue that they are good for people who like the show but don't want to spend a fortune on the season DVDs but the Buffy one's had one half of two-parters on them :rolleyes:

They are aimed at casual watchers who maybe like one particular character.
Buying them if you already have the season sets is just pointless (and sad).

Maybe they will appeal to the casual viewer, but I tend to agree with Laura that they are just another way to make money from the show.

If Fox want people to buy them then why not offer fans something knew extras interviews etc are these new I've olny ever seen Buffy ones :shrug:

I think you are right they could have at least added some new interviews.
The only plus point I can see is when they come down in price like the Buffy ones for people who can't afford the DVD sets and have particular favourite episodes then its a cheap way to get the episode on DVD.
They would have worked better as story arcs instead of characters though :rolleyes:
