Another superb episode

It did worry me early on how quickly Odo and Eddington jumped to the conclusion that Kasidy was responsible (although Eddington at least had good reason to :)) - given Odo's diligence to justice I'd have expected a bit more scepticism on his part.

Still, the twist at the end where Eddington is revelaed as the traitor was a complete surprise (and a far better revelation than when they did the equivalent story on Enterprise). One thought is just when he started supporting the Maquis - was it a recent decision, or was he a long-term plant? The fact he tried to sabotage the Defiant in 'The Die is Cast' would suggest that he wanted to stall them to give the Dominion time to destroy the Cardassian fleet...

Good episode this one.

The Eddington development is fairly significant and was a nice twist. The only slightly off bit is Siskos handling of Kasidy being a smuggler :- can't imagine his bosses being amused that he effectively let them go and only ended up 'catching' the smuggling captain and none of her crew.

Edited for spoilers :)

Pretty much what you guys said. :)

Thought springs to mind of what would have happened had Kassidy not returned... knowing Trek, Sisko would have just got a slap on the wrist and been told not to do it again, because everyone at Starfleet HQ loves him so much, honest.

What I would like to happen is for some Admiral to storm into Sisko's office and say "Sisko this is an outrage and embarrasment for all in Starfleet! You're being demoted back to Commander! Now shave off that beard and grow your hair back immediately!"

Thoroughly enjoyed this one, even though I spotted the twist coming from a mile off :)

The scene I liked best was when Sisko was trying to convince Kasidy to go to Risa with him, and that she had obviously twigged that he knew what was going on because of the looks that passed between them. Top stuff

And yes, it's about time Sisko got a bit of a dressing down - some of his decision making is questionable to say the least. Think I might have mentioned that before :p  ;)
