Description: 9 x 02

 A little more serious and intriguing than the first episode.
Ben and Claudia are still fitting straight in, especially with Shanks.
Very sweet moment as Daniel holds Vala's crisped body, I was quite horrified that she actually got burnt. So where and why have they been transported out of the bodies, what would the device have been used for :ponder:
:) loved Mitchell wanting to blast the com device in order to save Vala and possibly Daniel (the bracelets), oh and our first look at Lexa, I think she will fit in nicely too :)

I thought Lexa looked good. I was a little disturbed how General Landry seemed to be a lot nicer to her than he was to everyone else. I wondered if there was a bit of sexual harrassment going on there. Fortunately, it looked like they were father and daughter.
Not sure how I feel about the Ori. I know we haven't seen much of them yet, but they sound a lot like Necromongers (from Chronicles of Riddick). Still, I suppose they have to be pretty powerful if they can revive Vala from the dead.
On the subject of Vala, I wish they hadn't put her in these episodes. It just seems weird having her and Ben on the screen at the same time. They should have given Ben a few episodes to establish himself before bringing her in. I know they have tried to seperate them by sending her off with Daniel, but the whole thing seemed a little contrived. I know that Carter isn't available, but would they really send off Vala to be their first contact with a new species?

It is now confirmed.
Michael Shanks and Claudia Black are the best double act in sci fi history. Yep, even better than Claudia and Ben :ph43r: The humour was just flowing freely from them both :lmao:

:lmao: :lmao:
I was a little perturbed by Vala's incineration. Even though I knew that she wouldn't die. Shanks played the grief perfectly.
As for Lexa Doig's first appearance in the show. Well, I managed to contain the vomit. She had better not bring the death curse with her from her old show <_<
Speaking of... What is Kevin Sorbo up to these days?
His neck in concrete I hope :lmao:

Re Kev Sorbo, I loved it when he told the Kev Trek writers to put more humour in the show.....'Airplane' humour
Fair play to @ndromeda though, at least it gave Enterprise some realistic competition :ph43r:
Loved this episode. Much better than the first IMO. Didn't the opening (abbreviated) credits make mention to a guest appearance from Amanda Tapping ?? Did I blink and miss it because I can't remember seeing her at all in this one.
This season seems to be getting off to a promising start. Mitchell continues to grow, Vala is becoming more tolerable and actually works well with Jackson. Lexa Doig's first appearance begins to underline the fact that she was incredibly wasted on the aforementioned @ndromeda. The only things I could mention (slight) disappointment with so far is that Beau Bridges is possibly not being given as much to do as I might like, and after 8 years I'm really beginning to find the Jaffa and their problems a little mundane.
Re Bakhesh's point from above about Ben and Claudia, personally I don't have a problem with bringing in Vala at this stage. Ben's not had a great number of scenes with her so far, and CB appears to be developing a rapport with Shanks fairly naturally. Could be interesting with Mrs Shanks (Lexa Doig) now also being on set though
The Ori sound promising, I'm sure this is going to lead into yet more backstory on the Ancients et al.

I think they are hilarious
Personally I love Vala, Claudia lights the show up for me
I don't remember seeing Amanda either :ponder:

I love Vala  I love her and Jackson together
I think I just love CB
It doesn't seem at all strange to see CB with BB in Stargate, they just w**k so well together that they seem to fit naturally, and I'm loving them both with the rest of the SG cast :D Mitchell and Teal'C just seem to have a natural rapport

The only scene with Amanda that I recall was on the viewscreen in Ep1 when Mitchell was trying to rebuild SG1?
The humour between Daniel and Vala is adding a spark to the show that just wasnt there before........I just cant get used to Claudia grinning.....just how many teeth has she got???
Is it just me or is Teal'c having less to do and far less to say than usual even for him.....
Not sure about the Lexa 'death curse' thing Jamie.......are not all the newbies from cancelled shows???

Liked the 2nd ep better than the first, thought Daniel and Vala were hilarious. I'm starting to like her character more now.
As for AT being in the 2nd ep, she was only in the credits, i guess they can't be bothered to change the credits for the 1st five eps, or maybe these are from later in the season after people complaining about the 10second credits.
Maybe Teal'c will have more to do with this new Gerac (sp?) leader that they don't seem to like.
Ems :)
