| Tigh has to w**k with Lee to defeat a Cylon boarding party that threatens to take over Galactica and destroy the fleet. |

Much like the season opener, I don't think this one advanced the story much yet as what is essentially a bottle show it's a cracker. Quite tense, a lot of death, a smattering of action and some good character conflict. They're moving the various plot strands along effectively, but they need to progress at least one of them a little faster quite soon.
I think what's elevating this above a lot of other shows for me is the overall feel. Its universe feels very grimy and lived in (like Kara's apartment on Caprica). I'm not at all sure of the layout of the Galactica as yet, it just seems to be a load of miscellaneous corridors and the cic, but the scenes as they are hunting and being hunted by the Cylons were very effectively filmed and quite claustrophobic. The final shootout was very exciting
I'm just wondering how many people there are aboard the Galactica. It's probably been said at some point, but I can't remember. Whatever, they lost a lot this week (including another Viper pilot).
I'm hoping Adama will be back with us next ep because Edward James Olmos is the star of the show for me, along with James Callis who didn't get much to do this time.
Another very good episode

I don't feel it's spoilerish to say that James Callis gets a little more to do in 2x03
It would seem that despite raising it as a valid concern in season one, Viper pilots are going to be BSG's equivalent of Star Voyager's 'shuttlecrafts' in that they're supposedly in short supply but more miraculously turn up with each episode
To be honest though, if that's my major gripe it's one I can readily live with.
FYI Steve, 2x03 & 2x04 winging their way to you tomorrow :)

I think they have the pacing of all the strands pretty much spot on with the tension in all three on a razors edge of "what's going to happen around the next corner".
Edit - that sounds awful when I read it back, but I'm not sure exaxtly how to put what I mean

S'Okay, I knew what you meant

For some reason, when I was watching this again last night, I was laughing at the continuity in the scene where they go to get the explosive rounds. When she held the box out to show Apollo, the bullets kept moving when the camera angle changed. One minute they were lined up all neat and tidy in the case, the next they were all scattered around it, then they were all lined up again
Sorry, things like that amuse me :ph43r:
Great ep, I loved what Apollo said to Tigh at the end
Bit spooked by Baltar's vision of Adama drowning the baby, though :fear:

Excellent episode. One of the most bloody sc-fi episodes I have ever seen!
Only spoiled by my watching of it on SkyOne.
Why the feck do they put an ad break in when there is only less than ten mins left of the episode? For me, this totally destroys the narrative of the show and in this case, the ambience and feel of the final scenes (with that piano score in the background).
Cracking episode though. What a start to the series these last two eps have been!

It always annoys me that UK stations don't stick to where the US add breaks have been designed for.

Wow.
I don't know what I'd be more afraid of now. The human looking "mind f**k" Cylons, or the classic looking "I'm gonna kill you right now" Cylons.
This episode was brilliant. In many ways I found it reminiscent of Alien, with it's claustrophobic "Who's hunting who?" situations.
Great stuff, and from what I understand it doesn't let up much for the rest of the season, I may need a heart transplant by the end of it :lmao:

I feel exactly the same way - my heartbeat doubles everytime I watch it.
Great episode again. I'm so glad that the guys on Caprica have a hummer :yahoo: I'm certain there's another Cylon still on the ship :fear:
I still find Baltar's actions confusing - I presuming that he's becoming generally f*cked up due to his inability to tell vision from reality. :ermm:
The Apollo/Tigh conversation was good because it showed that both knew their place, but what it didn't tell me was still why Apollo did what he did in the series 1 finale, as Tigh said 'you're not fit to wear the uniform' and I'm inclined to agree with him.

I'd like a hummer from Boomer :naughty:
Oh sorry, you meant the vehicle :whistling: :shifty:

I agree with your sentiment about adverts on Sky One you could always get the DVDs for the first half of the season :ponder:
