I thought this weeks epsiode on five was excellent as was just what I needed for my faith to be rekindled over the week befores somewhat boring episode, I can see now that it was supposed to be a extended episode which was split in half by five.
The action was great, the storyline was fantastic and special effects were good. The Wraith seem like they will give the Stargate team a run for their money and those Puddle Jumpers are great fun as well.
The turkey sandwich bit made me laugh...
Looking forward to the next epsiode and hopefully Stargate SG-1 can stay as quality as this latest episode of Atlantis.
I've seen both episodes that start off the season and I'm not impressed. The casting was fine, except for the anorexic expedition leader. The story was formulaic and the dialogue extremely banal. It all seemed to be written for a audience of thirteen year olds. The story felt rushed to me, and although the city rising out of the ocean was cool, I didn't think that it had been earned as a climax in terms of build up.
Also, why do the enemy never seem to have surveillance in the corridors of their strongholds? The architecture of Atlantis didn't seem very futuristic to me, these were the people who built the stargate and they seem stuck in the 20th century in terms of design.
I'll give it another few episodes in the hope that it will improve. I think though, I'm expecting too much, and really I'm just getting a bit too old for this sort of programme.

Yeah, me too
Again, I enjoyed it. It's fluff, but it's entertaining fluff, and it was quite exciting :)
I've never been a fan of the Goa'uld, they just don't feel that interesting or menacing to me, so the Wraith immediately look more intriguing, but time will tell I guess.
