Title: Rambaldi Storyline
Description: love or loathe?

I just thought I'd see what people around here think of the Rambaldi storyline.

Personally, I think it's an integral part of the show. I know Sydney's the main character, but I love the way that the Rambaldi story affects every character, especially Sloane. IMO, take it away and you take away the essence of the show. Let the debate begin...... :whistling:

Oh, and please, no spoilers for S4. Pretty please :)

I'm indifferent. I'm happy with the way it is now but wouldn't really care if they got rid of it either.

I don`t mind it. I do like the idea of it being a sort of ` Big Bad ` which ties everything together, though. :)

I think it's integral. Rambaldi's what ties all the seasons together :)

I think The Rambaldi Storyline is intergral to the storyline now....especially with what Irina said to Sydney at the end of season 2 after jumping off the building ( if you say anything before jumping of a building it must be important).

Also it is an intergral part of Sloane's character without Rambaldi where would Sloane get his driving force. I think the show is trying to be a bit more mythological and I like it. I can't wait to finally find out what Rambaldi's endgame has in store for the Alias gang....and yes I think that Rambaldi has a hidden agenda here and I believe its bigger than Sloane, SD-6, The Alliance, The CIA etc....I think we are talking end of the world stuff....and I just hope the show continues until we get to the finale....

Yay, more Rambaldi devotees :yahoo: I too think Rambaldi's endgame is bigger than anything they've dealt with on the show already, and I really want to see how the passenger/chosen one prophecy come to a conclusion. Fingers crossed that we get to see what JJ has planned for Rambaldi.

:lmao: @ Daniel - "if you say anything before jumping off a building it must be important". You've got a point there!

I agree, it's definitely an intergral part of the show, can't wait to see where it all leads :)

I've really had enough of it. I am totally Rambaldied out and if I never see another one of his ridiculous inventions again I will be a very happy man. Can you guess how I voted ? ;)

For me Rambaldi was fine in S1 and S2 as it had its place in the show but it didn't dominate and it was balanced out by what for me were the much more important and enjoyable aspects of the show - Syd's life as a double agent and her quest to bring down SD6 and Sloane.

With the pursuit of Sloane and the double agent/SD6 part of the show gone what you they were left with in terms of continuity was Rambaldi and in S3 they went totally overboard with it imo. It just got more and more ridiculous and for me more and more tiresome.

I really think they lost the balance sometime around the end of season 2. In the first two seasons there was so much more interesting stuff to balance out the rambaldi thread that they could explore esp with syd's double life with her in school, her life with francie and will, her role in sd6 and the cia, her dealings with sloane etc. In season 3 with that gone it came to much in the foreground. I much prefer the reality side of the show (syd's relationships with the other characters and the missions) rather than the fantastical side with rambaldi.

I couldn't agree more. Well, except I voted "I could live with less Rambaldi", as I thought it was an important part of the show in the first couple of seasons, but I wish they'd wrapped it up at the end of season 2. I agree that it becomes very tiresome.

Too much Rambaldi for me also, it just seems to be going back on itself.

I voted a little less... It went overboard with Rambaldi sometimes, it got so unrealistic I just thought it wrecked the show, it worked ok in s1.. but then onwards??? Im guarding what Im saying due to not being able to incorporate s4 ;)
