Just a week ago, it was our pleasure to inform you that Alias - The Complete 4th Season was confirmed as arriving on October 25th from Buena Vista, at a cost of $59.99 SRP. Now we have a few new things to tell you, starting with a bit of info for Canadians: the SRP north of the border will be $87.99 CAN. Also, we have a list of bonus features for you, just some of the over-4-hours of extras you'll find on this set! And finally, a look at the package itself. Enjoy!
A Chat with Jennifer Garner
Meet Mia Maestro
Deleted Scenes
Bloopers
And Much More!
Extras and box art are, of course, always subject to change. If we receive word of any such adjustments, we'll certainly let you know, so stay tuned!

Aw the box looks so pretty. It's a shame I'll have to wait a year for the r2 release :(

Looks really cool
Do the R1 boxsets have the same packaging as the R2s (you know, the 3 seperate holders)?

Afaik they are the same, with the same packaging for both R1 and R2 releases :)

Great, if it's the same I might just go for the R1 dvd then (to play in my shiny new multi region player  ). Yep, I'm one of those sad people who likes all my dvd collections to be in the same packaging

I'm like that too, it's why all my West Wing DVDs are R1 . But I would want all my show's boxsets to be the same region :ermm:

:ponder: Didn't think of that. I suppose I could buy the R1 boxset, watch it and then sell it on Ebay and buy the R2 boxset when it comes out. (I'm that neurotic I probably would do that  )

Anyone know if the R2 Season 3 box set has those three separate holders, because the R1 set has that six-sectioned perspex thingy....

The S3 r2 boxset is the same as S2. Is the r1 boxset like the S1 r1 case then?

The box is a different colour on
amazon.com. Has it not been finalised yet?

I have the R1 sets of Season 1, 2 and 3, and the R2 Season 1 set ....
The Region 1 Season 3 set is clear plastic, but otherwise is pretty much the same as the red Region 2 season 1 set. The discs are in a six-section `flip` set. This is getting complicated !

Ooh, not seen that pic. I think it`s probably that the tvshowsondvd pic didn`t come out well on their website, and that`s the end product on Amazon in proper colour  ... Although I noticed that they did change the S3 cover art. :)

Um, S2 for which region ? I only have S2 in the Region 1 set. It`s three separate DVD cases, with 2 DVDs in each.

Is it just me or on the S4 boxset artwork does Sydney look like she has a sqwint in her eyes...not the best picture her face looks different from normal like it has been flipped over or is a mirror image.
Nice red blood colour though.....
Any idea when its out in the UK?

Ah, okay, so R2 S3 is three separate cases with two DVDs in each, then ? :ponder:
Shall probably get that when it`s on a very special offer, because I find the R1 set of the S3 really awkward to get the discs out of and have already broken one of the plasticky centre inserts, too. :)

I'm almost hoping it doesn't, then it'll be released sooner and I love watching brand new eps all in one go.

As much as I'd love to see Alias S4 on terrestrial, I have to agree Jae - it's much better having all the eps to watch in one go rather than having to wait for an ep every week (and for it to go off air for a couple of weeks to show stupid poker tournaments like Five did with S3 <_< ). I'm so impatient sometimes
Dan Brown - July 20, 2005 07:45 PM (GMT)
I just wait for The DVD release anyway...to be honest after season 2 I got fed up of setting the recorder, and the inferior picture quality that is channel five, even on freeview the signal is poor and I keep losing it.
So i just get the DVD it also makes it seem better value (the DVD set) because you haven't seen the episodes before....
...I'll be doing the same with 24 Season 4.....

Luckily I don't have any problems with my reception for Five, but I have a few friends who watch Alias and they can't get Five so I had to record it for them every week (and now they want to borrow my boxsets - the cheek :snooty: :p ).
24 season 4 is fantastic, definitely the best series yet IMO. Definitely one to watch on dvd - then you won't have to wait a week between eps

I know! Just as well I can't get them to watch Angel or Firefly or they'd be taking those boxsets off me too :tear: Well, I don't mind really, it's my one-woman crusade to enlighten the masses by making them watch decent programmes instead of Eastenders

Although I can see that what you`re doing could be classed as a public service.

Have posted more info on the DVD extras in the Season 4 section of the Alias Board.
Couldn`t decide if there was a spoiler or not, because there was a tiny bit of info on one of the Season 4 episodes, so I`ve put it in the Alias - Season 4 section to be safe. ;)
