Stardate: 49556.2 When Kurn, Worf's brother, comes to Deep Space Nine, he asks Worf to kill him as his family has been dishonored by Worf's actions, and he can't live with the shame.

I was never that keen on this episode. I don't know why, but it just never really clicked for me.

I have wondered now and again what happened to Kurn though. When Worf joined Martoks house, did they hunt him down and replace his memories?

I know what you mean :)

Interesting enough idea I guess but a bit of a B storey plot that managed to land the starring role.

Reasonably familiar territory with Worf being shown to be different to your average Klngon. Also wouldn't it be dishonourable to effectively hide a warrior that has been cast out in shame??

Another forgettable episode - like Return to Grace there was nothing wrong with it, just nothing right either.

It's interesting to see that Worf is still willing to kill for the sake of tradition - after the bollocking he got in TNG's 'Reunion' for doing the same thing (and actually killing someone) you'd have thought he'd have learnt his lesson...

Really enjoyed this one

I've always liked Kurn as a character and it makes sense that Worf's shame should reflect upon his family, and also that someone such as Kurn should view death as an honourable alternative to the life he has been left with. In that respect, the one thing that grated a little was Kurn "allowing" himself to be shot by the smuggler - hardly an honourable death, if it had been :ermm:

There was, however, a little more of the Worf I know in this episode, which made a pleasant change, even if he wasn't completely back to his old self.

Always good to see Tony Todd, as well :)
