Stardate: Unknown Earth has been placed under martial law and security troops have been deployed in anticipation of a Dominion invasion as the search for the changeling infiltrator continues.

A nice conclusion to the 2 parter, interesting to see the lengths some officers will go to to try and save Earth from outside threats, sort of foreshadows later developments :)
Good to see Sisko reigning himself back in and realising that all is not right with the supposed Dominion threat :)

A rare instance of a Trek 2-parter where the second part surpasses that of the first :)
The story as a whole is concerning - firstly can we really be expected to believe Jaresh-Inyo as a president of the UFP? He seems far too weak for my liking. Also, it shows just how screwed we are. Despite all the anti changeling precausions, a shapeshifter posing as O'Brien manages to happily wander around Starfleet Command and Odo manages to break Sisko out without anyone noticing beforehand. In fact, come the end of the episode we're still no closer to any protection for Earth! While Leyton wasn't all there, his point still stands that we need to protect ourselves - sadly with his dismissal and arrest the whole Dominion threat is pushed aside.
It's nice to see Joseph Sisko for the first time (especially since it was implied in the past Sisko's dad was dead :)) - less so about Nog though.
What I do like though is the little hints to the future - not only is there the Dominion threat as a whole, but Red Squad is introduced, who'll pop up again in Season 6's Valiant.
and I am left thinking just what the rest of the DS9 crew were doing while Sisko and Odo were on Earth - personally I think they got their own mini-Dominion invasion which they happily massacred without telling Sisko :)

Kind of what I meant about Sisko running off to earth and leaving the "the battle will be here" most important station in the quadrant again

Must say I raised my eyebrows over this part going all-out on the conspiracy, and kindly forgetting the whole deal with there being Changeling(s) on Earth.
Props to Colm Meaney for his part as the changeling O'Brien... gotta love the Irish jolliness. I froget whether it was Phillip or I who made the joke that he should have said "gotta dash, off for some Guiness and fighting!"...

Oooh, duplicity upon duplicity, this was another fascinating episode
Quite amused to see old Foxy boy playing almost a polar opposite to his role on B5 :)
Taking the analogy even further, Starfleet ships firing upon Starfleet ships - I thought we were heading for civil war for a moment :o
Top stuff

It's as close to a Human civil war as you'll ever get on Star Trek
