Buffy and Dawn Chosen for Action Figure Release!
Direct from the DST San Diego Comic Con Party, Diamond Select Toys and their partners are proud to introduce the core assortment of our upcoming Buffy action figure release; “Chosen” Buffy, “Lessons” Dawn and “Once More With Feeling” Dawn!  Standing 6” tall and based on digital scans, this latest release will feature 14-16 points of articulation, include several episode-specific accessories, and also feature detailed bases!

“Chosen” Buffy depicts everyone’s favorite vampire-slaying heroine as she appeared in the final episode of the celebrated series.  “Lessons” Dawn marks the character’s first action figure, filling a hole in many collections.  Based on the premiere episode of the show’s seventh season, “Lessons” Dawn presents an older, more mature version of Buffy’s kid sister.  The limited “Once More With Feeling” Dawn is based on the Emmy©-nominated musical episode and depicts Dawn in an elegant dress as she is held hostage by Sweet and his musical minions.  This core assortment will be available in comic shops nationwide this November.

Also available will be four exclusive Buffy variants, designed to showcase the Slayer as she appeared throughout the series.  Cheerleader Buffy is based on Buffy’s brief return to cheerleading during the show’s first season.  Also from the early episodes is Vampire Buffy, giving us a glimpse into the Slayer’s worst fears as shown in “Nightmares”.  “Primeval” Buffy, from the climactic battle with Adam during the show’s fourth season, is a sort of “Super Slayer” thanks to Willow, Giles and Xander mystically joining forces with Buffy.  While technically not Buffy herself, the Buffybot action figure is based on the fifth season episode “Intervention,” in which Spike commissions a lifelike robot physically identical to Buffy.  All four exclusives will be released this November with the core assortment and will be sold through various exclusive retail outlets.

More details, including pictures of the bases and accessories as well as the identities of the exclusive holders will be announced as the November release date approaches.

Well as just about the Dawn fan on the board I think she important to the series but I won't bore you all with why but I think she should get her own action figure. I will admit the Lessons figure is a bit creepy doesn't look much like her. :fear: I want the vampire Buffy figure though how cool is that but I am a fan of "Nighmares"

I agree with buffy_fan1 Dawn rocked, I think she was integral to the show and I think it's great that she should get an action figure made.

I however don't have any action figures, but was thinking about buying the Fear, Itself Anya one, or one of the Willows.

New Buffy Diamond Figures - Xander and Cordelia Ready to Rumble !
From Diamondselecttoys.com - 2005-10-12

Diamond Select Toys is pleased to announce the next wave of Buffy the Vampire Slayer action figures will feature all-new versions of the much-beloved characters Xander Harris and Cordelia Chase! Building on the success of previous action figure releases, the upcoming wave will feature the same attention to detail that have helped make the Buffy line one of our most popular and profitable licenses.

Since Buffy’s 1997 premiere, the characters of Xander and Cordelia have only increased in popularity despite their lack of super-powers. Though Cordelia would later become a half-demon Higher Being, the snarky and semi-superficial girl retained her trademark wit and revealed herself to be more than just a pretty face. Over the years, Xander went from being an insecure class clown to being the supportive center of the Scooby Gang. Both characters endured loss and trips through the emotional-wringer, but the pair emerged stronger than ever.

The core action figure release will feature Season 7 Xander, “The Wish” Cordelia and a limited “Chosen” Xander figure featuring his oh-so-piratey eye-patch. Each figure will feature multiple points of articulation, episode-specific accessories and their own base. As with previous releases, multiple exclusive versions of both characters will be released and should showcase both characters transformations over the years. More details will be released as the Spring 2006 release date approaches.

i think so

with a limited number of action figures (555), you have to be quick but i just checked the attakus site and it seem there are still some available (of course you have to open an account on the site before buying one and well 265 euros = around £177

buffy_fan1 - February 26, 2006 11:15 PM (GMT)
Thanks Claire, two problems though I don't speak a word of French so I won't understand the website which doesn't matter as it's a bit out of my price range at the the moment. :( I guess I should have looked at the price first like I said thanks for trying to help me though! :)

Talk about more money than sense. It probably cost about 50p to make even if he spent a million man hours fine tuning the look. sk
