What did people think of the first episode of Stargate Atlantis. I was a bit dissapointed it didn't live up to my expectations but the next episode looks very good.
To be honest I think that Daniel was a little underused and it took a little while for the story to get going.
There was next to no action, and the suspense wasn't handled to well either.
Plus why did they change the actress who plays Dr. Weir from Stargate Season 7?
I don't think that it will ever be as good as Stargate SG-1. Lets just say its not a Fraiser or Angel.
Looking forward to next week though, my mind might be changed after the next episode.

I think to be fair you shouldn't judge it on this episode alone - when it was first broadcast in the US, 'Rising' was a 90-minute feature along with the second part of the story, which (if my memory is serves me) has a lot more on the action front.

I've never seen Stargate so I struggled a bit to understand what was going on.
To be honest, I was somewhat underwhelmed but I'll watch next week's just to see how it pans out.

Yeah, I was viewing it on that basis and I have to say I really enjoyed it :)
Hope it hasn't ruined the end of the previous season of SG-1 for me, though (if I ever get there :lol: :rolleyes: )
