An absolute stormer !!
Whilst the majority of Season 1 was so-so, nothing special, I actually enjoyed the finale, and this picks things up again.
Pileggi's introduction is almost immediate aboard the Daedelus. The Daedelus itself is equiped with Asgard tech, and it opens up a huge can of whupass on The Wraith. The visuals here are some of the best seen in Stargate as the series truely gets into epic space-battle territory.
Surprisingly, this one's actually quite a satisfying conclusion to The Siege trilogy. Many 2/3 parters fail to deliver up to the early promise, this one actually does. There's some great visuals, some new introductions, the conclusion to a almost year-long story thread, and some interesting character development. It's interesting at the end that you're left wondering where the show goes from here. Not that the Wraith threat has gone for good, but with that particular thread capped off for now, and with the search for a ZPM being over, suddenly I have no idea what direction the show's now going to find itself going in.
After a mixed first season, this one instills some real promise for the second season. Can't wait to see where it goes

The effects were pretty good, especially the seige on the city
Pileggi comes across as force to be reckoned with, loved it when they decided to turn tables and attack the Wraith for once. I hope the season does improve from last years, the cast does need a little shaking. Fingers crossed :)

*****SPOILERS******
Yeah, this was pretty good. At first I thought they dealt with the threat a little too easily, until the rest showed up. Mitch Pileggi was pretty good. It was good to see the daedalus at last. Its been mentioned in both shows last season. She is much cooler looking than the prometheus, which, in spaceship terms, is a right minger.
Is the Daedalus a permanent resident at Atalantis now? Without the ZPM on board, how long will it take to get back to our galaxy? Presumably, Atlantis can now dial earth, but not vice versa. Does that mean that SG1 will get a load of new ancient toys to play with?
Not sure how I feel about the Ford storyline. He was totally underused in series one, but I quite liked him anyway. I'm not sure where they're going with this new storyline, but I presume he'll crop up from time to time as a bad guy. You'd have thought he'd still essentially be on the same side, seeing as he's going to have to go wraith hunting if he wants to maintain the supply of this enzyme.
Overall though, a good conclusion to the three parter.

I would think the Daedalus is there to stay this season, I hope so anyhow :)

Re the ZPMs, the issue that they need more than the one they've already got will be addressed this season.

I wish they'd explore atlantis a bit more. The ancients kept all their stuff there. They must have had a ZPM making machine, and its got to be there somewhere.
If they got three ZPM's, I wonder if they would fly Atlantis back to earth.

It was almost a disapointment, how quickly last seasons cliffhanger was dealt with  But I soon got over it
I felt really sorry for poor Dr Beckett when the poor guy got half strangled by a wraithed up Ford :tear: I think he's a great character and am hoping he'll get an actual storyline this season
Great way to start the new season, and like James has said above, and to paraphrase another great show, it really leaves you wondering 'where do they go from here?'

Sky's showing over the new season caught me by surprise. I only realised it was on when I flicked through the channels and caught the Sky Mix repeat. So I missed the first 15 minutes.
I completely missed where the Daedelus came from, and I'm so far back on my Stargate watching (just starting season 2!) that I don't know much at all about the Asgard folks. So I just had to accept that they were there.
I loved it... I second everything James said, though it seems I enjoyed season 1 more than he did. I expect that's because I'm much newer to the Stargate universe, and a lot of it seemed much fresher to me. But a great climax. I was a bit unsure whether the Wraith would have bought that cloaking solution quite so easily. But apart from that, I really enjoyed it.
Is Mitch Pileggi going to be a regular? I loved him in the X-Files.
Loved what happened to Lt Ford. I was worried he was going to be a Harry Kim/Travis Mayweather, but it seems I was wrong!
Good stuff... lets hope it carries on in this vein.
