Title: Invasion

I've just watched a pilot screener for an up-and-coming show in September, called "Invasion" and judging by the pilot, it's very very good :)

It's about a small town in Florida that's just been hit by a huge tornado, and that's all I can really say without spoiling it, it obviously does involve an alien invasion, or at least that's the popular theory, if you want to know more about the shows plot with slight spoilery then read what's in white, below...

........................................................................................................................

...In the beginning of the episode, a plane is flying into the eye of a tornado to record data, when inside the tornado, it encounters bright flashing lights which look like fireballs, and the plane is hit badly.

The storm is heading right for a small Florida town, one or two people go missing during the storm, and during the aftermath, when they return, they seem somehow different...

........................................................................................................................

If you think of a cross between The X Files/Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Lost, then that's what this show is like. A bit creepy in places, revealing parts of the puzzle as it progresses. The acting and characters are good too, no real stereotypes as such so far, and they are genuinely interesting.

The Pilot can be downloaded from Filesoup's TV Section, the quality is slightly shaky in parts, but certainly watchable. 350MB DivX.

It starts in the US on September 1st, Wednesday at 10:00PM on ABC

Definitely worth your time, looking into :)

Cast List:

Evan Peters
William Fichtner
Eddie Cibrian
Ariel Gade
Aisha Hinds
Tyler Labine
Lisa Sheridan
Alexis Dziena

Isn't this Shaun Cassidy's new show ?? If it's anywhere near the quality of American Gothic I'll be happy

Indeed it is, here's tvtomes blurb:

QUOTE
Invasion , Shaun Cassidy's Warner Brothers TV-produced hour looks at what happens in a small Florida town after a hurricane. Details are being kept under wraps, but, per the show's title, an alien invasion could be involved, the trade paper reported. Cassidy (American Gothic) wrote the pilot and will executive produce.

There's still plenty of seeders on that torrent ;)

I read about this in SFX, it sounded interesting then, but now with personal reccomendation, I just may have to stop my porn downloads to have a look.

I loved American Gothic, Cassidy seems to know how to write "small town with secrets" very well.

Invasion's one of the shows I'm looking forward to next season, along with Fox's Dark Side (?) Similar to Lost but set on the dark side of the Moon. Sad to say as well, but Braga's Threshold might have to be checked out, just on the offchance that he's slipped back into 'decent' mode after all this time

Watched it this afternoon. Interesting enough, although it took a while to really get going. More than a hint of 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers' about it
