sorry if this has been posted before, i havent seen it posted anywhere!

I've just gotten back from Forbidden Planet, where I bought the first issue today. Yeah, I know, I don't like Firefly :rolleyes: But it's a comic book combining the writing and art talents of Joss Whedon and Brett Matthews, how could I resist??? I bought the lovely painted cover featuring "Inara" by JG Jones.

The other covers featured: Jayne, by Bryan Hitch, and Mal, drawn by John Cassaday. They both looked good, but I'm a big JG Jones fan :thumbsup:

I called A1 books and comics today (the best shop in Glasgow IMO, better than FP :whistling: ) and they are adding a copy with the Jayne cover to my subscription folder.

You should hurry then, they're selling out everywhere. They're already going for up to three times cover price in the states. I bought the last "Jayne" cover this morning for Alex. FP only had two copies left (both Mal covers, what's that all about??? Does nobody love him?)

Issue 2 is due out 3rd of August in the US, it should reach our (currently) sunny shores the day after, again shipping with 3 variant covers.

Yeah, but some of the prices on ebay are ridiculous, considering that if you're lucky, you can still pick it up in comic shops for about £2.20 :rolleyes:

A quick note to anyone who hasn't already got issues 1 and 2. Forbidden Planet in Glasgow were somehow able to get re-orders in of these issue. They have all the covers available, I bought myself a Zoe cover of issue 2 today after w**k (to cheer myself up, don't ask :rolleyes: ) So if you haven't got it yet, check with your local FP, I'm sure Glasgow isn't the only branch to get an extra supply.

Oh and upon checking, they are all first prints. And at cover price (£2.15)

If you want to read the post be warned that it had a small spoiler for Alias and Angel if you havn't seen S5, which I know somepeople haven't.
