| England, 1911. The TARDIS is drawn off-course and lands in the country house of archaeologist Marcus Scarman. But what did Scarman unearth on his last visit to Egypt, and how can the Doctor defeat his most powerful foe yet - Sutekh, the God of Destruction? |

I love this story. Great fun to watch. (Educational too, if you're completely oblivious to the existence of the ancient Egyptian Gods. This was pre Stargate kiddies ;) )
Tom Baker was at his frenetic best in this story (IMO) and Sarah Jane was really used to her fullest potential. The "Mummies" were well done, though their movements were a bit exagerated (wouldn't you walk like that with half a ton of bandaging weighing you down?) The effects were, for their time, impressive. Sutekh did look very well done, and Professor Scarmans Make up was a tour de force also. He genuinely looked as though he'd been killed and brought back in zombie form :fear:
Mmm, shall I be the first to mention Sutekh and the infamous cushion ? ;)

Even more impressive when one remembers how limited the budget was back then! (Maybe the CGI today means that people aren't as 'creative'?)

The Hand of Sutekh. ;) Yes, one of the not so special effects.
