Stardate: Unknown A transporter accident traps the senior crew of Deep Space Nine in Bashir's James Bond-like holodeck scenario, with each one taking the role of different characters.

Fantastic episode - definitely in my top 5 episodes

The suggestion of another 'holodeck goes wrong' story should hve incited groans, but for once they have a logical reason to it (as opposed to the spacial phenomena of the week on TNG and Voyager :whistling: ).

However, the best bits are Garak, as he gives his snide commentary on the whole silliness of Bashir's holo-fantasy, and Dr Noah, giving Avery Brooks a chance to ham it up wonderfully (his face as he takes Bashir and Garak's guns and holds them aloft is priceless :D)

'Tis just a shame the people who make Bond didn't enjoy the joke as much, since this was the last real Bond-sprrof for DS9 (in a S5 episode - I think it was A Simple Investigation the Bond program is a lot more generic). I also heard this episode was never allowed to be repeated on US TV for copyright problems, but I'm not sure just how true this is...

And of course, this is the episdoe where behind the scenes Alex Siddig and Nana Visitor got it on :)

'Oh Alex, make love to me' :o

Garak and Bashir are pretty much perfect for this episode.

I think part of the problem with Voyager was that they saw DS9 doing this type of ep and it being well received so they assumed all they had to do was throw a similar type of ep at the screen and everyone would love it.

Another nice thing about this one is that all the cast really seem to be enjoying themselves and ham their rolls up to perfection :)

(Hmmm, gold clad dancing girl  )

I've gotta agree - Garak gives a wonderful edge to the story with his rolling commentary on "how real spies w**k".

One thing that you guys haven't mentioned that I found great was the subplot of Odo, Eddington, Rom and even Quark trying to fix everything... nice to see the Ferengi goons given the run of the station operations... :)

Nothing major but you might want to avoid the white text :)

They should package this one up and sell it as a cure for insomnia

It was fun in some ways, I suppose, but in general I found it tedious and obvious. Garak being in a holosuite program about a spy was the only thing that livened it up :)

Is this the first holodeck episode on DS9? If so, we should be thankful for small mercies I suppose :ponder:

And how many Runabouts have they lost now? Starfleet must be rolling them off the production line at some rate of knots
